I play the daily challenge every morning over coffee.

This game is an excuse for you to use as much redo as possible. They do not allow ties or stalemates so that you will take dozens of rewinds to get to a point before a serious mess up. For parts like the daily board, you are temped to undo because of it's "streak." But the part where in a chess, there is NO stalemate, that really upsets me. You can't have 2 kings running around without any other pieces. That will NEVER end, but the game says "Hey, I win. I don't care if we both have the same piece left. I win because I said so." If you want a real chess game or chess with a unique way of playing, look somewhere else. Just go play some Kamikaze chess or chess with multiple layers. But if you like this, go get multiple chess sets and set them randomly. Anything is better than this ad-infested, money seeking, time-wasting, stress-inducing excuse of a game.

This game has pretty much ruined me for the traditional version, although I make myself play regular Chess at least once a week. The best part for me, AND the worst, is when the AI gets a lot of Knights.. trying to get a non-piece losing move in is really challenging. I’ve found that the only way to play is to throw out any defense and just attack. Also, the AI seems to throw out its offense when I get any pieces close to its King, which is fun. Sometimes when I’m in dire straights and I take my Kings defenders completely away and place them by the AI’s King, it inevitably makes “really stupid moves” and I can capture its Queens on down. The app does crash once in a while, and the AI will put you in check sometimes, and keep repeating the same 2 moves indefinitely, which is why I gave only 4 stars. If this gets fixed, I’ll give 5, no problems. GREAT FUN! I highly recommend this game, pay the $2.99 simply because it helps support the great minds behind this great game, and the others by Noodlecake Studios Inc. Any haters out there? Drop your pride and give it a shot, why not. Keep up the good work Zach! I also love your arcade pool game.

Good concept, but rough around the edges

First, repeated moves need to end in stalemate. I’m stuck going back and forth, escaping check with only one allowed move... followed by check, which I can only escape by reversing my last move. Either improve your computer or implement a stalemate Zach. On that note, stalemate’s should not be counted as a victory. Sure, increase in rank a point or two, but not as much as a victory.

I know the title is Really Bad Chess but this is just....just stupid. I can't believe they even let this become an app AND get featured. I could code a better game than this. It teaches you nothing and all you do is sit at a screen staring at a chess board with five queens and twenty knights (example) Anyone can just make a game with a chess board and place some random pieces and call it a game. These developers just got lucky because the they were the first ones to think of this incredibly stupid idea. It's just utterly stupid. What is the point of this?????? Why should any human being in the planet waste their time doing this? Time is precious. It's the only thing everyone is given equally. And I can't believe people would do this with their time. This is just purely trash.

I play lichess and the computer moves nearly instantly. This game takes 5-10 every move. Sometimes feels even longer. I can’t have fun or get into a momentum if the computer is way slower than me

Fun concept if you can survive the ads

Y’all, these are the longest, most impossible ads I’ve ever encountered. They’re preposterous. You can’t close them? The app feels basically unusable. Could be fun but I don’t have time to sit for a solid minute waiting for an ad server to get its act together.

Ads are ridiculous after buying game

This has to be one of the only games in the app store where you buy it and still have to sit through 30-45 second enforced ads at the end of a game. This is simply ridiculous. I can understand - and tolerated - this in the free version. But if you offer a paid version I expect I’m not going to get these ads. My playing has declined significantly because of this. You need to fix it.

When they say this is really bad chess, they mean it. If your gonna download it, get ready for a single win, followed by a never ending round of matches set up for you to lose. Good concept, bad execution.
