I’m a terrible chess player, but enjoy chess. This is a fun, irreverent take on chess that helps you think about the game, while having some fun with some “really bad” starting pieces—or is it “really good”? I’d like to see a bit more commentary on the matches themselves, or save features, but otherwise, it’s just a lot of fun!

I like the concept. I like how its chess and not chess. I do not like that I have to wait what feels like 30 seconds for the AI to make a move. It doesn't matter what difficulty you set the AI at. You will wait what feels like forever. I just want to play the game. I do not want to play the waiting game. I want to play some Really Bad Chess.

To begin with, the concept of the game piqued interest, and the boards at the beginning of each game really force one to look and think about strategy. After only a few days however, the game has stalled several times on what should be a draw, but the AI won’t call it. The AI is intent on replaying the same move sometimes when there could be an alternative move, so the human player can only quit the game by surrendering, instead of surviving for a draw. This became irritating, so the game will be deleted. Do like the concept have to say.

Appreciate my purchase being restored. This is a great game if you like chess, but are bored with the traditional way of playing.

Really Challenging Chess

Bad name for a great game. Regular chess is a fine game. But this variation makes you really think and plan. I have only run into one issue. It seems like the algorithm is not always programmed to go for the win. So, some games you end up having to surrender just to end the monotony of back/forth movement by the computer.

This game helps you learn the basics of chess. I am not a great chess player, but I know how to play. Of course, you don’t get used to playing with the normal amount of pieces, but that is the main thing that makes it unique, but the developers don’t claim to have a normal chess game. There are a lot of ads, but you can easily bypass this by putting your phone on airplane mode and playing offline. This game can help people learn how each piece moves and I think it’s great for people who want to learn how to play chess. And it provides a challenge to those who are good at chess by adjusting your skill level.

I was really enjoying this game until a full screen ad popped up that was impossible to close. I uninstalled after that.

Good game but a huge issue

So I enjoy the game, bought the full version and all just to 1v1 with my friends next to me. Excited, everything goes great until I finish my turn. All pieces rotate. It is a good feature for some I believe, but I would really like to see an option to disable that.
