Face ID doesn’t work reliably; Clunky interface

- Face ID is hit and miss but most of the time - miss - App sometimes freezes - recordings are ok but sound is sometimes chunky
Absolute garbage. Still requires sign in even with Face ID sign in

The app is no good on the iPhone. Absolute garbage. Someone rings the doorbell and guess what? You unlock with Face ID, and YOU STILL HAVE TO SIGN IN MANUALLY! This most basic functionality ruined the functionality of the doorbell. Last update on the app was at least a year ago, which tells me RCA doesn’t care about support fit their customers. RCA FIX THIS!!!!! Multiple other reviewers have noted this issue.

I just installed my doorbell and when I get to the select WiFi screen the app crashes everytime...tried on 2 different iPhones same thing. When you click on app support it takes you to the VOXX website to learn about investing in them not to get support... the app crashing has made the doorbell completely useless.

You can't actually answer the doorbell because it takes 30 seconds to log in every time. Useless.

Why does the app force me to log in almost every day? I’ve set it to use Touch ID on my iPhone but it makes me log in almost every day. It also doesn’t let me save the password so I have to type it in every time. I’m so annoyed that I’m thinking of buying a Ring camera. Please fix these issues soon. Please. After reading all the other reviews with the same issues going back years, The only conclusion I can make is that RCA doesn’t care about this app or making their products work as customers expect them to. If you are looking for a doorbell camera, do not buy an RCA.

HELP!!! Halloween night and my doorbell is not working. I updated the software and device and reset it but the app crashes on the screen before I’m able to enter my WiFi Password. The 800 number appears to be closed. Emailed using the link here which goes to a site with no working email. The App Store was not clear and there are multiple emails on Voxx website. My rca security app iPhone 8plus most up to date iOS and RCA app Shows offline but the doorbell cam is actually working fine and recording video. I just can’t do live view. App thinks it’s offline even if it’s actually working. Hoping there will be a bug fix or advice on this.

Since the new update my audio does not work? Also, when trying to answer a call from the doorbell I have to login first. Even with Touch ID I end up missing the person at the door. Overall the app is decent but needs a little more refinement to work seamlessly.
Decent camera. Terrible app.

My app uses face recognition. Fortunately, this relies on the iOS to perform authentication, otherwise, I doubt the feature would work at all. Despite setting it up for that facial recognition, the app still requires me to re-enter my password every other day or so. The device itself should have some type of a soft reset feature as well, but it totally lacks this. You have to basically disassemble it in order to restart it. Don’t be fooled by the updates that say ‘bug fixes’ - they’ve been saying this every time, yet nothing is ever fixed that I’ve noticed.
