I use quip for personal note taking and task tracking, work document building, and collaboration on work items, and I couldn't imagine using anything else. The smooth UX of Quip mobile is vital for people frequently on the go and makes document iteration a seamless process - I can start documents at my desk and keep working on them in cars, on planes, etc. The notification and commenting functionality makes it really easy to engage with other people on documents. Searchability and knowledge management are still the biggest weaknesses - it's hard to quickly find what you need. Spreadsheets could still use some work - huge improvements here, but the dev team still hasn't spent enough time understanding how users are using the spreadsheet feature - many of us are creating tables as a way of structuring qualitative information, not for calculations. So more formatting flexibility with characters in tables would be great. Quip is of my favorite products, so really hoping that the speed and quality of development doesn't change with the Salesforce acquisition.

Not a good move for Evernote to start gouging exactly when the better Quip app hits its stride. One area for improvement: LaTeX export produces faulty code. Should be real easy to fix to yield plain LaTeX output without putting stuff in the preamble that might not work.

Quip is such an amazing app where you can collaborate with your friends to write stories and have a good time. It's also fun for organizing lists and important things! If you love to write it's a must have!!!!
