Great except Chromecast has issues

For the last 3 or 4 months Chromecasting doesn't work right. If you put your phone to sleep while watching and then unlock to do something later while it's still playing it will stop playing and the only way to resume is to stop Chromecasting, force close the app and start it again that way. Super annoying.
Bait and buy app

Typical App Store bait. Time to load Kodi. I downloaded because years ago this was a cool free app. Now it’s $$$$

The Plex app is one of the best designed, slickest, and most performant iOS app I’ve ever used. Terrific design, completely intuitive, well polished.... my one complaint is that I only have but five stars to give. It’s well deserving of far more praise. Great job, folks!
Needs some work

On the iPhoneX the default full screen is not as large as it can be before running into the notch, overall the size is smaller then it should be for videos. Their is too much black bar space, no need for that much! Please fix this so videos use as much of the screen as possible before touching the notch. I’d say it’s about 3/16 of an inch that could be used still Also thanks for adding HDR support in the iPhone X!! Hopefully you can make the ability to play HDR content on non HDR displays better though, I have an Nvidia Shield hooked up to a Normal HDTV but the colors are washed out. I have seen some other players get this to work on PCs so hopefully it won’t be long before it works on the Shield (sorry I know that’s another device)

Got a server set up on an ultra low end Intel NUC running Ubuntu off a USB stick this weekend. Plex somehow still streamed flawlessly 30 miles away. Simply incredible. ??
Great app but does not sync flac correctly

I love the app for all the obvious reasons. However, myself and others have experienced a problem that can be quite frustrating. Syncing .flac files produces wrong song lengths. If I am listening to a song that is 13 minutes long and I want to skip to midway thru the song, I am unable because Plex shows the song length as 4 minutes.
Live TV experience is really poor

I appreciate the cost is low but right now the live TV DVR experience is not remotely ready to replace cable/dish: - No channel list view, one can only view and search by show name (a scrolling list of channels, by date /time, with the option to select and see show details as well as select record a least a week into the future is a rather basic feature to be missing!) - No obvious way to record the live show one is watching, one can only record when searching for shows - Duplicate shows are appearing for most channels on the iPad watch now view as well as other clients but not on the server. I see others reporting this online but no fix. - Not so easy to find what one has recorded The technology is cool, the recording quality is good, and the price is great. So why one star? If Plex aims to make this an app for regular users the experience is what matters and Plex makes watching live and recorded TV a chore.
Add playlist from iTunes option PLEASE!!!

Love Plex it’s my favorite app for all my media, I no longer need one app for my music and another for my movies or video files, Plex takes care of everything and I love it. I tried it as the free version and after a little taste of what Plex could do I had to buy my lifetime pass, best buy in a while. That said PLEASE!!! PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE!!! add an option to add your own playlist from iTunes or just add support for playlists so that I can export them from iTunes and add them to my Plex library. I don’t want to spend days recreating all my playlists from scratch.
