I'm glad I got in early with a membership for life! I've cut my cable cord thanks to this service! One thing devs: Sometimes when selecting locations, the “local and synced content” selection does not work. It gets highlighted but never goes there. Restarting the app always works.

I used to load my movies into iTunes, load the cover, etc. The time it took was huge and the result was just ok. Now, I move the file to the Plex folder and the App does everything like magic. It's amazing. The results are about 99% correct but I think I just need to figure out the reason for the mistakes. On the phone and iPad, streaming is flawless - even remotely. Buy a TV tuner and rabbit antenna and you can also get local TV channels (with the Plex Pass).
An app worth paying for

I have been a Plex user (free) for a few years until today when I finally become a Plex Pass (lifetime) user. I absolutely love this app and have gotten others on the bandwagon too. Once I upgraded my router I have had great streaming in my house and it wasn’t so bad with the severely outdated one too. I run an older i3 4gb ram wireless N computer and I can stream pretty high rate 1080p with little to no issues and if I have some I just dumb down the stream so the computer can handle it all. As of now I can stream and control the quality of the stream when I am away from home. My iPad Pro loves Plex and so do I. Thank you for the consistent updates to make Plex the best entertainment app and (home network/computer) software one could ever need!

Plex is the best program ever for playing movies from my computer to anywhere else I want. It’s the centerpiece of my entertainment. It’s incredible at organizing my music,movies, tv shows and now even my news. It does so much and it’s extremely easy to use. It lets you share all your content with your family and friends safely and securely.
Cannot try before you buy

They forget to mention that having loaded all your server you can watch on your app for 30 seconds before it cuts you off and asks for $5 activation, also the instructions are not clear, you can fling media to another device what ever that is? And the tiles for your media could be bigger but you have no customization
