App never works in Pasadena
A small belly
The App never works for me , I either get a message there is no connection or we could not load the rates for this location but then I got charged anyway? I had to pay at the regular pay station and so I paid twice for the same spot. I tried to get my money back ( $1.35) from Passport and 3 days later still no refund ! DELETE THIS APP IMMEDIATELY, this company steals your money!

I use the app for the Pasadena, ca area. It seems like it’s a faster way, until you are cited for not having a receipt displayed on the dash. I contacted Passport Parking twice and they said I had to contact the issuing agency that cited me and there was nothing else they can do. Shouldn’t Passport and the city have a way of communicating with each other to take care of the problem immediately. If I call Passport they look it up and tell the city to dismiss it for us. Their moto is stress free parking. I don’t think so, when you know you can be cited. I had to file a protest with the city to review. After two weeks the $55 cited was dismissed. I will not take the chance again using Passport Parking and waste my time fight another cite. Just walk to the parking box get a receipt and be guaranteed no cite!
Problem ridden app just to pay once

We were driving through a town and stopped for lunch in a parking lot covered by this service. We figured it would be easy, but the site requires you to download this app. 10 minutes later and we had forgotten our parking area code because I was still fighting the app as we went inside and the GPS feature showed absolutely no lots around us. I also found that all of their emails went to my SPAM folder, which delayed getting the code. We did finally pay, but holy crap this should not be this hard just to park for an hour.

We are eating breakfast and I tried to extend time, it says my credit card failed. So we try another card. Failed. Support says to download again. Tried on wife’s phone. Payment restricted. Tried on a friends phone, same thing. In the end we had to cut breakfast short and run back to the car. Inconvenienced the entire party. Shelly, the chat support agent was HORRIBLE. She kept closing the ticket and ending with the same “call your bank”. Even though we used the same cards at other locations after this issue, there was no issue with my cards. Also you cannot upload photos to support. Once you click the photo, there is no “upload” button. Poorly written app. Avoid if possible.

This company does things without my permission. They double charged to my credit card $24 without my permission. I used to pay $3 overnight parking daily, and they changed the format to 4 nights with auto renewal mode without telling me anything. They refunded my money. However, l don’t trust them. I will probably delete this app and buy my overnight permit at the Kiosk, it’s safer that way...
