Buggy, iPad Pro 11”

I like the flexibility, the layout ability, and the templates. But, it is temperamental and buggy with simple word processing. I’m trying to use a book formatted document from a provided template. I pause here to say that it’s annoying to open a book template with an iPad in English mode, bearing an English title cover page, but with sample content totally in French...all of them. If I try to partially utilize the template’s formatting by altering the content slightly, the app erases it all and I have to totally retype it...negates the usefulness of the template. Tapping to place the cursor to modify text sporadically doesn’t work. When that happens, the only way to get the cursor placed correctly is to first tap into an entirely different place in the document and then place the cursor. The cursor placement method of holding the space bar and using it as a trackpad doesn’t work about 15% of the time with this app only. Text styles are annoyingly uneditable. Earth to app designers everywhere: While I appreciate your formatting suggestions, you need to recognize it is not your device, nor your document. Please do not impose your style on the rest of us by locking out alterations to a preformatted style. If, for instance, if I want sentence case instead of caps lock, that’s my call, not yours.

I got myself a fancy expensive logo app to make my logos, and after 3 or 4 hrs of screwing with it, I tried pages. There are no words describing the easiness and precision as well as creativity that comes with this, as opposed to spending ten bucks on pre designed squares of color. Now we are truly an “er”. Thank you.

Bad stored docs lost bc of update

O rarely used it however I had some docs downloaded as well as some pictures stored in the app with the new updates the items are greyes out and cannot be accessed. I called the help center and basically they said these are lost. I hope the same does not happen with iBooks as I do have a lot of information there. The pictures I had saved in pages cannot be replaced and I do not have them anywhere else saved. This has been a sentimental catastrophe.

The desk version And the mobile version are incredibly temperamental, totally not intuitive, and overwhelmingly basic in function. Such a poor product!

doesnt let you add pages

i love how easily it is to manipulate the document, however it does bot let you add pages, which is majorly annoying.

I love this app I write stories on this app and my diary is on this app I APSOLUTLY LOVE IT /even though it never taught me how to spell??‍♀️??/ I love how you can share it or lock it so your STUPID siblings can’t read the stuff 5 out of 5 stars ??⭐️✨?????????????? you should BUY IT NOW!!!

Update Killed This App

Since the last update for my iPad, I can no longer upload documents to the Pages App. Please look into this as I use this App weekly and have been doing so successfully for the past 9 years... Thank You!

Missing one feature

I have various files in different locations, On My iPad, Dropbox, and iCloud. When I use the global Search function, I have no idea where the displayed files are located! It would be great if you could add the file's location to the display. I suggest using a shorter form for creation date, truncate the filename by 10 characters, and use a creation date format like 01/20/2020 11:15 pm instead of January 20, 2020 at 11:15 pm. The result would allow a presentation including truncated filename, truncated location and date/time. Great! This also applies to other Apple products utilizing Search.

Can no longer use the app since the new update

Updated the app and now when I try to start a new page, I get an error message that says the operation cannot be completed.
