The app for some reason stopped running over a a cellphone data connection even though cell data is enabled for the app. When it does work it is ok. It is better than it used to be.

Search on latest update does not work.

Your updated version works well, except when you want to find something you have already created. Earlier versions did not have this search problem.

So, I don’t understand why people are so mad about lag. Most of the time, it has to do with their iPad being old, and I can confirm that since I use to have pages on an older iPad and it did lag, but it was the iPad not the app. I have an iPad that is from 2018, and the app works perfectly fine for me. I also really enjoy the fact that in pages, you can pretty much make a book/essay/something else with multiple people! When I do that, I FaceTime my friend and at the same time we discuss what we want to add and take away from the thing we are writing. So, in all, pages is amazing and the only way that it could not be good is because the iPad/phone the person is using is an older version. So for someone else that is going to get pages, if your device is old, or more then 4 years old I would get a newer device.

PERMISSIONS MALFUNCTIONS short-circuit Apple Programs

I (practically) never write bad reviews and am only creating this one in hopes that Apple can improve this vital program. Working on an iPad in lieu of a laptop is phenomenal; and Pages COULD BE a phenomenal tool. 2 PROBLEMS PREVENT THIS: 1) Periodically this program denies me permission to use my own documents. These permissions errors have grown quite frequent lately and utterly impede progress on-the-go. I have to go online and work from iCloud which is clunky and impractical. 2) The folder/organization system is clunky. You used to be able to move multiple documents around simultaneously, but now you have to individually change each documents location which is too time-consuming when you’re manipulating dozens and hundreds of documents. I’m seriously considering porting my hundreds of documents to another program, which will defeat my apple-centric approach to workflow. But since the new OS has removed permissions-granting from the hardware owners, working with Apple products is becoming problemmatic.

Please do not waste your time on this app, because, I can assure you, you will waste time, so much time, to make it perform the most simple and ordinary document edits. This app is half baked, barely tested (I’m sure), and not even worth it being free. Another Apple disappointment, another reason to start looking for alternatives.
