Splendid App with a Host of Great Features

Teastouch

One more thing... It would be helpful to have the ability to lock the app! Thank you for this highly functional and intuitive app!

Have worked with Pages since 2010 on my Mac Book Pro, hundreds of hours writing. Still love it on iphone 8 and blue tooth keyboard. Gets better every day being blind, works with voice over quite well.

Terrible!

ipad pro is my go to

This app is clunky, not intuitive, and so basic as to be unhelpful for anything except writing notes to yourself (as long as you don’t care about formatting in your notes to yourself.) Formatting is impossible—either there is none or it is so difficult to find that it may as well not exist. Plus, what formatting it does have interacts in unpredictable ways with other apps, including mail and MS word. You would think that after decades in this business Apple could come up with something that makes life easier rather than more difficult for those of us who like to use our iPad Pro as an all around business device.

Pages is my Go-To app...

Mommabird25

I love Pages. I’ve never had a problem with it. It saves my work. It’s easy to use, easy to learn and I’m able to create beautiful documents. I use an iPad without an attached keyboard. I’m a writer, so the last thing I want to think about is the writing program/App I’m using. I need it to work automatically. That’s what Pages does for me. I don’t need to create columns and rows, or add tables and graphs, but if I did, I’m sure that I (a 60 year old woman who didn’t grow up using computers) could figure it out within 5 minutes. I’m not a fan of a lot of the Apple Apps, but this one...I really love as it makes writing a joy. Try formatting the Doc before you start. Originally, I spent about 15 minutes, just one time, to learn how to format. Just tap on the paint brush and everything is right there. I have a PC that uses MS word. It’s very easy to convert between the two, in fact, Word has made so many weird changes, I now prefer Pages. I promise you, it worth the effort to learn.

Can’t change background color on docs

T. Beetham

I follow the directions on Apple’s support website for changing the background on docs in the iPad version. Doesn’t work. There’s no “background” button to push. The official instructions are not working. Is there really a way to change the background color of the document?

Unable to open documents

Jersey Girl 2010

I used to be able to open a document I receive via email and then click open in pages, when I select this now it automatically closes the document. Very inconvenient. It has been happening for a few weeks now.

Froze and I lost my work

PeridotRose

‘Come on Apple. Get your act together. The app froze after I tried exporting to Word, and then I lost all my work. (Otherwise the app is beautiful and works nicely on iPad, thus two, and not just one star.) But seriously! I’ve heard rumors about your “Not a Regression” thing with bugs. You guys need some serious overhauls of testing. This is coming from a software developer. I’ve seen decades-old systems way more stable than your iOS rubbish.

What the.....???

Not Amused 27

I created a document using Pages and decided to protect it with a password, but WITHOUT the Touch ID. I closed the document, reopened it using the password, and carried on working on the document. Then I closed it again - and now Pages won’t let me access the document. It demands my Touch ID but doesn’t accept my finger print, and it no longer asks for the password. All that work for nothing...
