Doesn't save your order when you exit the app so you have to re-enter it ??

App lies about order status, order never sent to restaurant, terrible customer service

I placed an order on this app. The app said my order was done. I went to the restaurant to pick it up. I ran in, leaving a three week old nursing infant and my fiancé in the car waiting for me. We were all starving after a long day. When I got there, the host had no idea about my order. While I was standing there he got a call from Order Ahead with my order that the app told me was already done! Of course I had to cancel the order because there was no way I was going to be able to wait another 20 minutes. I called the 650 number and talked to a snotty girl who immediately became defensive and talked over me. All I wanted was a refund. She kept refusing and talking over me when I tried to give her the information she asked for. She refused to connect me to a supervisor. I lost my sh*t at that point because she was blatantly antagonizing me. She hung up on me. I called back and got someone else who immediately apologized and offered to refund the order immediately. I don't know why the first person made it so hard. I don't know why some dumb intern making $15 at a crappy startup needs to be defensive about her crummy call center job. Sh*t app and sh*t customer service.

This app is the best! We get delivery to the office all the time - the drivers are kind, on time and polite. I also use the pickup option for Philz Coffee in the morning


Very disappointed in the service

I just used order ahead for the first time and our party was excited for a great evening in with friends and food. Unfortunately order ahead disappointed and negatively impact a great meal from Roberto's Cantina. We ordered two orders of fajitas and they forgot the tortillas. I called to have you go back and get them for us and your support person said 10 minutes and a half hour later we had not received them and I had to provide my guest with leftover tortillas from my fridge. I called your support again and she apologized. Finally after I asked her if they were going to do something about the issue I had with the company she finally says that she can refund me the $6 delivery fee since I didn't pay for the tortillas. I beg the differ since the fajita meal is not complete without tortillas, which I did pay $32 for the two meals. Fajitas are just steak on the plate without tortillas. She finally offered me a coupon to use later with order ahead which I refused because why would I want to be stuck with using the service again in order to resolve my issue over spoiling my dinner party. This is the worst customer resolution and support that I have seen in a long time. John


Why no Apple Pay?

It makes me uncomfortable to have to store my credit card number on OrderAhead's servers, especially in light of seemingly daily security exploits. Other than that, the app works well and it's a super useful service, but c'mon, support ApplePay already!


Why so long to deliver?

Why do I have to order 2 hours ahead? This app is based on drivers that work for OrderAhead, not the restaurants you're ordering from. The problem is that drivers do not work for the restaurant that cooks your food, so, your food gets cooked when the order is placed and delivered by a 3rd party when they have time to pick up and then deliver your order amongst several other orders from several other restaurants to several different addresses...in every case this has been 2+ hour's later...not good. Use a different App. Food is so terrible by time of delivery.

Costly and frustrating, but nice app and service

Four stars because the app is good and the service is fast and friendly. HOWEVER!!! (Dun dun dun) I was forced to download the app, because the website did not allow me to sign in to my account (tried to sign in three times, cried uncle and downloaded the app, where surprise surprise my login information was accepted no problem!). Then, the cost is just so high- $6 delivery fee plus an automatic 15% tip for the driver. This increased the price of my meal by 33%. Not worth it- there are other apps that do exactly the same thing for basically the same or lower price. Using it this time because it took me so long to get through everything (sunk cost fallacy is alive and well) that now my stomach is eating itself. Apologies for being a jerk about this- I'm just irritable because i only bought the 16gb iPhone and now my storage space is 98% full of useless apps that all do the same thing. On the plus side, the service is super fast- 15 minutes from ordering to getting a text saying my order is on its way.

What a terrible rip off. Not only does this app charge higher prices than the restaurant for this food, they also charge a six dollar delivery fee. I called the restaurant myself and they charge me less and delivered it for free. How is it possible that this company thinks that the ability to order online is worth that much of a premium. There is already an industry leader in this area, GrubHub, and they don't charge a ridiculous six dollars for doing nothing. It isn't even like this company has their own drivers. They use the same drivers that the restaurant uses but just rip you off of six dollars.
