Few real doctors available for appointments

It seems One Medical may be decreasing the pool of actual doctors available to schedule an appointment with. Becoming increasingly difficult to get an appointment with an actual MD without having to book several weeks out. Paying for a premium service, I expect actual doctors rather than just a bunch of nurses or PAs (no disrespect, but there’s a reason doctors have to get much more education and training).

I’ve been using the One Medical app for a couple of years and I really really like all of the features in it I like the care plan, I like the fact that I can upload my blood pressure, I can talk to my doctors, I can get telehealth you know within a 10 minutes of requesting it, and it’s usually really good and a very responsive. I can book appointments- it’s just a great app and a great service.

OneMedical is great as a service. The app, however, is years behind that of other providers. Why is health data from my Apple Watch not yet integrated? Why is it not possible to connect to other apps, such as scales, and fitness apps? My doctor and I always talk about tracking heart rate, weight, activity levels, blood pressure. Why are all these manually input when there are APIs available that can automatically add this data to your OneMedical chart? I’ve been with OneMedical for two years now, and nothing has changed in the app. What are the developers working on? It’s very disappointing to see for a subscription service.

I love One Medical! I just wish I was able to link my health records to my Health app. Also to have my health data from Apple Watch or smart scale sync up with my One medical App.

Welcome to the 21st century medical care! I’ve been using it since they first arrived on the NY scene and have been making my life easier now for over 10 years. One request: when I schedule a visit/appt/test, please add a function to add the date/time to Google calendar. I don’t use Apple calendar and have once forgot to input manually into my Gcal, and have almost forgot to show up for my appt.
Unable to handle basic insurance

I had a simple physical appointment three months ago. OneMedical has been unable to process my insurance since then, and has been sending me billing notices ever since. My insurance is straightforward Blue Shield of California, but they keep saying I need to wait for it to re-process and ignore billing notices until then. I expected a subscription service like this could handle basic insurance without issue, and resolve problems more quickly than waiting three+ months.
Horrible experience - messy lab work

One medical cannot catch up with its growth. In the past two weeks, I’ve had two errors with different sets of lab work that required for me to go back and get testing done all over again. Their back end systems don’t communicate with one another and getting to speak to a human being about membership related issues is virtually impossible. For a membership healthcare service, one medical is an embarrassment.
