App is great

I love being able to order my food ahead of time and just walk in to pick up my food. It's very quick and easy to use. I also like that they have added a rewards program.

They promoted this to me with the caveat that I would save $3 on my first order so I figured I'd give it a try. The $3 off promo shows under my account but when I try to redeem it, it says I have no redeemable rewards. Bait and switch. Deleting app now.

Needs a little tweaking

I eat at Noodles fairly often. So I’ve been hoping I’ll like this app. But so far, it’s been a bit of a disappointment. The app likes to put badge counts on the home screen, indicating you have some kind of news or offer available. Yay, offers! But when you go into the app, there is no obvious way to dismiss them. So the badge hangs around on the home screen like I need to do something about it. Frustrating. It also takes a long time to open - when I’m ordering, I want it to open fast, not play me a weird video of a pan flipping noodles. It also doesn’t show “progress” towards a reward. I never know if I’m one meal away from a freebie, or ten. Finally, the scanner is not very good. Restaurant printers are never in great shape, so they print poor barcodes. The app needs to do a better job of scanning them. So while the app works, and I do get offers, it’s quirky.

For one the user experience is terrible, very difficult to do the simplest things. There is no way to use the rewards you get from the app in the app so what is the point? And it tends to double charge you things. I’d just stick to the website if I were you or better yet just go in, that way you know your going to get what you order.

This review is only about the app itself. It crashes persistently and consistently. It frequently has network errors and cannot connect to any of the underlying services. The scanning feature doesn't work either for the app nor for the receipts. I have yet to be able to redeem any of my rewards. This app is absolute garbage, which is a shame because I like the program and I like the food so I wish they would fix the app.

Online ordering doesn't work. There's no way to earn rewards. Weird.

It’s a nice app and the food is typical ready when I get there however it could be better in that it does not allow you to redeem previous rewards when you place a new order. Also it doesn’t allow you to make notes to the store for example I order the Thai curry noodles and the noodles were too dry and not enough curry sauce was in it. Instead of the capability of adding that to my order notes. I had to call the store location and explain that to them. Luckily whoever picked up was understanding and able to locate my order and adjust it.

I don’t write negative reviews almost ever, but this app deserves it! There are SO many restaurants with apps that work flawlessly—Noodles is not one of them. On several occasions their app refuses to accept my card and charges it several times while trying to process an order. (And yes: I verified that validity of my card information several times.) I do not recommend the Noodles app.
