App doesn’t always work

The hardware works perfectly fine but the app is constantly crashing! This defeats the purpose of having a home security system.

Great product I have seen in a while. This device does what it was intended. Glitchyness is due to my personal internet abilities. Some of the reports u read here are because folks don’t understand that simple fact about tech items.

The app made camera setup easy. The instructions were clear and offer alternative ways to activate the camera. My only issue is that there isn’t a setting to get notifications if motion is detected in certain zones.

Sadly if you accidentally purchased a Netvue camera, you are stuck with this useless app. Do not bother with cloud service since you can just install a memory card. The app will alert you if there is any shadows from clouds or trees but anyone can walk past it, even with high motion detect sensitivity, and frequently be ignored. Truly a useless app except to access the camera and camera memory card.


Good and bad...

The cameras are awesome, very clear and excellent range. The app however can use some help. My suggestions: 1. A home screen that allows you to see all cameras live in micro view. 2. The ability to create camera groups to see all in micro view, example, all indoor cams in one group, outdoor in another, etc.. 3. The ability to disable motion detection or activate sleep mode on all cameras in a group with one toggle switch. I have many Netvue cams now and if I want to turn off motion detection, I have to go to the settings of each camera individually, this is very time consuming. If you make these changes, your app will be nearly perfect. I’ll add to these suggestions over time. Thanks and keep up the good work. Michael


Almost there with dark mode

Some aspects of the app aren’t dark in dark mode like one would expect. The splash screen is bright white and then when in portrait mode and looking at a feed the push to talk area is white.

App is constantly logging me out and I don’t realize it until I notice I haven’t been getting any push notifications about any movement going on. When the sun sets, I constantly have to remember to restart the camera via the app settings because the camera doesn’t automatically adjust to night mode. Videos will be pitch black if I don’t restart the app. Just very unreliable overall.


App is unreliable

I’ve had no problems with the camera. Dark mode works fine. The app however is unreliable. It’s constantly logging me out. Won’t even allow me to log back in today. I’ve changed the notification times, but was still receiving motion notifications during the times it was supposed to be disabled. Or I just don’t receive any when it decides to log me out. Beyond frustrating.

Works half the time

I’d say this app and camera works about half of the time. The camera itself needs to be pretty much touching your router to work, and even then half the time while I’m at work I’ll get an error code on the app and the video won’t load. I don’t know if it’s my work internet, but some days it’s totally fine, then others I cannot access it at all and am left with a blurry error screen for the entire day. If I made more money I would probably invest in more expensive systems than this one. It’s quite frustrating at times.
