Good app one downside

I live in a college dorm for a Information System degree. Internet is very crucial for my degree as it deal a lot with virtual machines creation and such. We have had issues in the past with a previous router as such needed an upgrade. All of previous issue had gotten resolved and I love it. Downside is the “internet speed test” is not accurate at all. I know what the average speed that we get. It’s tells us that we have 8-10 times the speed we do have which is very inaccurate. I feel as if it tells you what someone would want to see even if it’s a flat out lie. Simple solution just use a online speed test. They are far more accurate then the one provided in the app.

The latest update ruined what was a decent app. Now, the names I assign to my devices gets lost or deleted, and when I try to edit them it constantly says “failed”. Half of the time it doesn’t even recognize devices that are online. Another example of fixing what isn’t broken!

This is my second nighthawk X6 router. The first one worked great until a water line busted and drenched the unit. It still worked, but only on one channel and slower speeds. As the product even stood up to water, we replaced it with the exact same unit. Very good product and plan on staying with this company for my router needs.
