Adding a new card into the Navy Federal Prepaid app is easy. Just tap “Add a Card” and enter your GO Prepaid/Buxx Card Number, specify your Nickname, then create a password. You’re done! You can also add a new card by selecting “Username” and selecting “Add New Login”.

As a parent with kids in college, I set-up Buxx cards for all my children and nieces & nephews as a back-up to their personal debit cards. At one time, the Buxx app allowed me to quickly log-in, assess balances and make deposits to any Buxx cards in my account. For the past couple years I cannot even log-on to the app as a parent -it demands a VISA card number as login-in entry point. As a parent, I DONT HAVE A VISA #, my kids do!! I just want a simple way to get onto the system as a parent to see balances and load cards without having to be at my desk on a PC. NFCU has one of the best, user-friendly banking Apps I have ever used!! Why can’t the Buxx App be better?? I love the Buxx concept, but this App is so BAD, it completely cripples the entire system and ruins the concept!! Please fix this!
App will not allow me to reload funds

After my first card expired I never received a new one even after calling customer service twice. I had to order a new one. Then app will allow me to see the card transactions but not reload the funds. Customer service was able to reload the card but not fix the problem with the app. I have to go through NFCU go prepaid web site to load the card...WTH!

I use this app to transfer money to my teenage daughter. It’s a huge pain bc it keeps asking me for information as if I’m signing up a new card every time. I have to put in the full card information which is not convenient when she needs money and we are not together. I have to keep hopping between the photo of her card and the app. Then the password issue omg. I have no patience for such a poorly designed app.

Why have the card at all if your app is so unreliable? Keyboard comes up...sometimes. When it doesn’t come up, it covers the entire screen. Mostly it doesn’t come up though. The app never recognizes the same password, forcing us to reset constantly. There are better products at other banks. Get your app together NFCU or get out if the business. This app is horrible.

Works, just needs updating. Sadly, I’m in the military and moving to Korea. I had to download the N26 app and get their pre-paid card because it is chip enabled. And the app is beautiful. Navy Fed take note please. Used this for 2 years in the states and in that time someone skimmed my card because it is not chip enabled (nor will it work in Korea or overseas). And the app hasn’t caught up with the times.

I agree with the previous reviewer. It should be easier to log in perhaps using facial recognition that would be great! I use my card solely for lunch money when I’m at work.

Clearly not an extension of the navy federal app. Such an elementary design and interface. This won't be around for long.

Nearly impossible to use. When you go to login the board covers half of the screen so you can’t type. When I do finally manage to bypass that issue, it makes me give my LOGIN AND PASSWORD and then my ENTIRE CARD NUMBER. So it’s basically useless as a mobile app when I’m on the go to check a balance or add funds. Once I add all that information it asks me to reset my whole account, seriously a new LOGIN AND PASSWORD to get my information. You’re better off just calling a rep, which is a hassle, takes up their time and defeats the purpose because now a trained associate is busy transferring 25 dollars to a Buxx card. They are always great and nice, but I’m sure they have way more important things to do and are bored with these requests.

The App needs to be updated! I love the card but you can’t see where you are typing when entering your password! When transferring money from the account you are using if you don’t have the card on your person for the 3 digit code you cant send the money to your teen - maybe a 2 part authentication can be set up instead? This app needs to come into 2020 please .. make it easier for us parents to help our teens get a handle of managing their finances! Love NFCU for having this option but this app needs work! Thanks
