Unable to access previously paid for issues!

I used to have a digital subscription to NG, which I’d had since the app first came out, so I had a lot of issues that I’d purchased. I cancelled my subscription because of the state of the app and not being able to download issues. I just noticed that I now have no access to any of the issues I had purchased. If I attempt to restore my purchases through iTunes, I just get a pop up that I don’t have a current subscription, which I know and asking me to purchase one. How do I get access back to my purchased issues? I emailed customer support a few weeks ago, but got no reply!

Can't download purchased issues or even view them online. This has been going on for a couple of years. WHEN is it going to be fixed? I can’t view content that I paid for! Where is it???

Disappointed to the point of sad....it went from an excellent interactive magazine to a stripped down website like app....junk junk junk...and no customer service for a 40 year supporter. So disheartening...

What is this monstrosity?!?! Where is my collection of digital editions?!?!? I collected them for years as they came with my print/digital subscription. I stopped subscribing but still owned a great collection of digital edition that is now all gone with their new app and service. I OWN THOSE editions, they never indicated they could just take them away. And get this. Forget using this app while on a airplane, you got to be online. So they make an update, take away all my downloaded and legally owned content in place of a new online service I have to pay for and I have no recourse?

The app was great. Every time I go to read the magazine by using the app it crashes :( never mind that you could download the magazine so it could be read offline. As a life time subscriber I am deeply disappointed in this. I love the magazine but this is just silly that I can’t read it in the go. How about it Nat Geo, make this app great again!

Since the last couple of updates there are problems downloading the magazine. Nat Geo don’t appear to be solving this problem, It has become very frustrating trying to download the magazine, what was once an excellent app has been ruined they need to go back to the earlier trouble free version of the app
Where is the offline download option?!!!

So majority of the readers here complained about the same problem and it is still unsolved after almost a year? The customer service is atrocious, to say at least. Canceling my subscription when it is expired, for sure. I give my hard-earned money to the magazines that respect their readers.
This app is a schizophrenic disaster

This app is a schizophrenic disaster. Even after subscribing and signing in, I get constant pop ups inside the app asking me to subscribe or sign in again. It’s like half of the app has no idea who I am. (If you humor it by entering your credentials again just goes “oops!” I guess the joke’s on you for paying! It won’t actually let you read any links in the articles, even though your subscription is supposed to include full digital access). The app also refreshes constantly and forgets where you left off. The experience is like having a troll on your shoulder who whaps the magazine out of your hands every 5 minutes and laughs in your face.
