2018 Ioniq plug-in hybrid

Hatchgrafix

I am happy with my car but this app is frustrating. When my car is plugged in I get an email error when opening the app and I can’t check the charging status. It gives an error [c500_1] saying we could not complete your request. Only happens while the car is charging. Also the flashing hazard lights with remote start is annoying it brings unwanted attention to my car. It takes a solid minute for remote functions to begin once you put in your passcode. What’s the point of the passcode if you have to use your fingerprint to unlock the app? Please please fix these issues and I think you’d have a good product.

WORST APP I HAVE EVER USED

sonata driver

It works less about 1% of the times. Selling a car with this feature advertised should be considered fraud.

Should be better

Steph7933

For a paid app, especially one that costs this much, it should work perfectly all the time.

It’s just ok

Mitch Hughes

The features are cool, if they would work more often. The app (or service) does not seem to work well. Hope for better in the future. The Watch app never works. Unless it gets better, I will not be renewing.

Needs some serious work

App has severe issues with lag and freezing/crashing. Also, it takes up 30 seconds for it to even register a command, and then even longer to send the request to my vehicle. Disappointing.

Missing Siri integration, long login time

RobRedbeard

It should be as easy as lifting my wrist and saying “hey Siri, start my sonata and set the AC to 77”. The experience is app only and unfortunately that puts the burden on them to improve. BlueLink is a paid service and not cheap. I’m fine with that if it was continually delivering improvements to the service. The app is the worst part of this. The watch app works sometimes, but usually I have to get the phone out and find out it’s logged out again. After eventually logging back in, I can execute remote start. However, that takes up to 2 minutes to happen. By the time it does, I’m lucky if it starts before my kids open the doors, which cancels everything. So much for cooling the car off before we leave the restaurant. If this were free, I’d tolerate the situation.

Purpose?

What's the point of this APP if it never works? It's either really delayed or doesn't go through.

It’s alright...

SpyderPrime

It’s an alright app but not amazing. Takes a bit to get the car started as it has to go through wherever Hyundai central is and back. Understandable to a degree but definitely take planning to use. Also, I have the heated and cooled leather seats but nowhere that I can find in the app is there a spot to turn those on. And lemme tell ya, weather in FL, on leather seats, kinda hurts. It’d be nice to have the cooling option available. /:P Other than that, it’s worked ok. Hope to keep seeing improvements. I’d like to rate this app a 5. /:)

Not working

It’s the coldest time of the year and the app isn’t working. No service. What is up with this? It happened last year too. Same time of year.

Rethinking Hyundai Purchase

1VK1NYC

I am by no means technologically inept as I work in the tech industry. This is by far one of my most disappointing purchases. The app is temperamental and it’s needed in order to start your car and use your car’s fancy features. When it does work I am still emailed that the car did not process my request. So I trudge outside only to find the car on (maybe 30%) of the Time. The door lock feature doesn’t work routinely. I haven’t had a notification to update the app since forever. Word of advice, if you like Hyundai’s cars consider not getting all the bells and whistles as you’re paying yearly f r a service that doesn’t work consistently. Unless something changes this is my last Hyundai purchase.
