Definitely need improvement with IOS App Integration

Bacl2jack

The biggest disappointment is the lack of integration with IOS Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint in particular). That forces you to download copies and launch the Office apps order to view the file content. After all that you can’t even edit the original file. This extra step is counterproductive. My hope is this will be resolved sooner rather then later. Google and Dropbox have figured this out, it can’t be that difficult. NAS is about more then just photos and videos. Come on now!!!

You cannot download your files to your devices.

Its a shame that it’s 2018 (almost 2019) and you can’t save your files(video) to your own iOS devices.

Please add iOS files integration

This app is fine. Kind of like a 1st draft software of a great hardware. I think to be really useful this app needs iOS files app integration like Dropbox, google drive, and OneDrive.

This App stopped working

devananda

This app no longer connects. It says can not connect to internet but other apps are connected to internet. Missing key features such as ability to share selected folders (rather than having one folder that can be shared).

Latest update doesn't work with mov video files

Lorentz Aranmula

The new update on my New phone keeps complaining that the video codec is unsupported. The same file works from my spare iPhone with older software that is not updated to latest version.

Poor iOS app. It needs improvement.

My videos stored in drive didn’t play even in other video supported app. There should be the feature to auto delete photos which are backed up. Soon expecting an upgrade.

Poor interface with drive

Gregp67

I had an old version of the drive and app that worked fantastic. I could play music, save movies to the device (iPad) to watch later and seamlessly stream my media. I upgraded to get more space and I have less performance. The my cloud home app does not perform nearly as well as the old my cloud app.

Video capabilities

Ssmcad

Will not play videos taken with iphone 8 or iphone xs max. Says file not supported Fix it

No mp3 or mp4 access

jonesil

The drive is cool with easy setup but..... can’t use it for what I got it for. Yea it’s central storage but I can’t access half the stuff I store. MP3, can’t get to. MP4, can’t get to.... and can’t play none of it. All I see is photos in the app. Doesn’t work with roku or Apple TV. WD gots to update fast! ?????‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️

Please improve the app, the hardware is great.

2/13/19 Pros/cons below. 1.0 The hardware installs easily. Beautiful design. Has lots of promise when the PC and the App are improved. 1.1 The few video files I have tested this on, load quickly onto my home cloud on my PC. Nice, given other’s comments about long wait times. 1.2 So far, one test to share via email, only that video was accessible, as expected, and nothing else. Good. I need to test folder viewing. 2. Lots of functionality when on a PC. NOT WHEN USING THE IPHONE APP. Add these requirements to the app design: 3. When looking at the contents in my apps, or PC, my home made videos DO NOT SHOW THE FIRST FRAME of the video. My first frame is a four second picture title page that details what the video is about (name, date, location, type of video are all in the title page). All this is not seen and therefore quick identification is gone. It shows a still picture of a few seconds into the video. NOT GOOD. NOT USEFUL. AWFULL FEATURE. please change this. 3.1 So now, ONLY ON MY PC, I have to rename all my video files to contain this information before loading onto the my home cloud. So I can correctly select or choose to share the CORRECT video. WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT AND MAY SEND THE WRONG VIDEO. My videos are about dancing and vacations and are all good family-friendly content, but I’d rather not resend a shared file because I sent the wrong one by a mistake. 4. Allow file renaming in the APP. I shouldn’t have to get to my home PC to do this. 5. Let me create folders from the app. 6. Let me make a duplicate file from the app. This allows me to copy and share a file into another folder to share with another group. Avoids re uploading the same file. There is unfortunately, no indications that the developer reads these, nor have I seen a response. I’ll have to get to their website and forward these comments to them.
