Pure Garbage

This has to be one of the worst commercial apps I've ever had the misfortune of using. Currently, the app locks up tighter than a bank vault as soon as you open it and remains bricked. Even when it did "work", functionality and consistency was spotty at best. I would be completely and utterly embarrassed if I were BMW to have my name on this piece of garbage they call an app.

Works very good! I use it al the time.

I use this in my 328i 2016. Everything in the app works. The honk, headlight flasher, unlock/lock, maps. I use the maps a lot because in all honesty the voice assistant on BMWs is not as good as Siri or Google Now. So I the maps feature to look for my location and send via text message to the car. Then I just open and hit start Nav. On my 2015 the honk was greyed out. I think BMW is fixing the bugs as they go and on the newer models finally this works good. Not frustrating at all, and I like that I can log in with my finger touch that the iPhone 6 allows. Very surprised this app has so bad reviews. Believe me BMW would not make an app the is garbage and leave it out there. Just might be people are too picky or they are using older cars. Works perfect!

Expected better from BMW

This app isn't optimized for iPhone 6s, is missing the remote start, and required calling to unlock the car.

What's the point?

LotusOH

Such a low tech app for a high tech car company. Unlock button with pop up to call a 800#? Really?? Horn and light flash buttons frequently have server timeouts without execution. No remote start - even low end cars like Honda and Hyundai offer this. ConnectedDrive is cumbersome and more novelty than useful. Get with it BMW.

Could be more funcional

Good for locking your car, flashing your headlights and sounding your horn. Unlocking your Car requires a call to service centre. Safe, but not really that necessary. My main issue with this is why no remote start? Mercedes remote app for iPhone has it and they have no issues. So why not BMW?

Useless, pointless, garbage etc

BMW, I stand next to this company because their vehicles are amazing!, but this app is worst then my grandmas reading glasses from 100 years ago. You can only lock your vehicle and sound the horn. How stupid is this. Hyundai has a better app then this crap

Crippled app

Ameenakel

Update: New update added nice features (like fingerprint access on the 5s and newer); however, the app no longer allows me to type an address and send the result to the car. The search bar no longer appears. That's really the only useful part of this app and it no longer works. Can no longer unlock doors from the app. Must already be next to car to locate it. Defeats the purpose. Why does BMW have one of the worst smartphone integration apps?

WORTHLESS

MAMiller44

They updated the app so now you can't actually unlock your car from the app. You have to call the number and talk to somebody. They say it's from "most" of their users who requested this feature even though everyone leaving reviews seems to hate it. What's the point? I'm sorry BMW but "most" people need to not be idiots who get their car stolen by leaving their phones without a password.

No longer works!!

Very disappointing - esp as the app wasnt that great to start with. Now it just doesnt work at all!!!

Good Example of a Poor App Design

AzShopper

Difficult to use in bright sun while in a hurry. Suggest starting the App on the Remote Functions screen (containing the most often used functions). Suggest changing the Remote screen design - eliminate scrolling - make each button self evident (eg. Start Venting, Schedule Venting, Lock, Unlock, Horn, Lights, NAV Destination). The functions are too slow. The Horn and Lights functions should occur in less than 5 seconds (not 30-40 seconds).
