this app is useless! does not work as a remote start and it's sad that FORD has a remote starter in the standard package but BMW does not even offer it. very unhelpful in New England weather !

Had low expectations, downloaded the app while chilling on my sofa, logged into my BMW account on the app, app recognized my car and gave me the full ability to honk horn, start a/c, flash light, lock car, unlock car - blown away at how effective and easy it was. The instruction does take about 45 seconds to 1 minute to process as it has to run the signal through BMW connect first , but still considering its simplicity and previously not having remote start as an included feature - it rocks. Genuinely surprised! (2014 BMW 435)
Where are the key functions

I can't find any of the key functions like "lock". this app is useless.

Why there is an Un-lock button which required you to call 800 number? Make it like bmw connected North America. That app asks for a security question. Also activate ventilation. Very important in hot days.

I'm not sure what happened with this last update. Contacts stopped being sent to my car. The map defaults somewhere on the east coast no matter how many times I have it search for my car. I use this primarily to send locations to my car and it just stopped sending all of a sudden. This is a horrible update.

It takes over a minute for it to actually send the command to the car? Like, um... That's not very practical, is it? Just bought a brand new car and this is the tech it has? You'd think it used dial-up!

Now this app won't allow me to send a map location to my BMW. I can't believe BMW would have such a useless app. My brother's Buick allows him to unlock his car. BMW does not. My God fix this app. It's supposed to be a BMW app not a joke.
Where did the search go?

The app no longer sends info to my X5 nor can it locate it. I've deleted and reinstalled the app three times just in case. It doesn't work anymore. Please fix.
Does not work after latest update

Can no longer receive sent addresses to car. Why is the default location always somewhere on the East Coast? Does anyone check functionality on a car before releasing updates?
