Slowness is its downfall

This could be a simple but useful app—if only it was fast. On my iPhone 11 Pro, everything you could possibly do has a wait period. Even booting up takes longer to load than my email inbox! But if everything was optimized for speed, this would be quicker than writing down notes.

A broken app

After I recorded my guitar with this app, I pressed play to listen to the recorded guitar audio, it had a delayed a little before it played my guitar part then the second time it didn’t work instead of it playing, it bugged. I don’t recommend this app, better luck with GarageBand or voice memo.

You Have Been Warned!

There is NO way to quantify the loss and anger you WILL feel and experience WHEN this app deletes all the ideas you were saving. Keep looking. Don’t download this app. This app WILL delete your files without your knowledge. I just lost two years of song beginnings, chord progressions, guitar licks, piano items I was working on, and more. GONE. And there is NO WAY to restore those items. You’re better off buying an old tape recorder. To the “people” responsible for making and updating this app, isn’t it time to do the responsible thing and remove this junk from the App Store?

Once great, now unusable

Was great for a while, but now unusably slow and glitchy. Often fails to record or play back. Sometimes just freezes completely. Would pay for a fixed version as there is nothing else quite like it.

Delete all my saved ideas without warning

I used to put this app on my home screen for years, because this app was exactly what I need to record my flashy ideas. But till today, I opened it and found all my saved ideas has ... gone! It’s empty now! How come?! I’m using iCloud for backup all my data, including this app, but this app just erased all my records, nothing left... And no warning before it did that! I’m very sad and angry now!

Yeah it just straight up does not work.

Update January 2020: I’ve got SOOO many notes and ideas in this thing that I don’t want to quit using it but it’s becoming unusable often. Hangs and crashes galore! But I will say it has so far eventually synced with the cloud. But I have to wait and wait. You would think that Apple would be embarrassed to have it this buggy. ——————- This app is such a great idea and has been a wonderful sketch pad and writing tool. BUT! It's gotten SOOOO sluggish and crash prone and buggy. As other reviewers have stated, this is pretty consistent after deleting and reinstalling. I love how you can take these recordings into GarageBand and then into Logic Pro to start building real tracks from these scratch tracks. Apple, you can and should do better than this! Your creative and pro apps users (who supported you and helped you survive the "dark years" before Jobs came back) are starting to feel really left out.

What was that that little riff? What key ? What were those first few words.. Your entire song sketch is saved and complemented with rhythm if you want Not a recording tool. A songwriters dream. It savesYour chords on the fly.

This used to be awesome. Now it seems to be broken. Cant play back most of my recordings anymore. There are definitely some bugs in it that havent been fixed by updates in a LOOOOOOOONNG time. It takes way too long to start up now too. This is a great way to completely lose your recording. I hope i didnt pay money for it. Ive had it so long i cant remember. Its basically useless.

Hating Facebook right now

Just read another review about how Apple has abandoned the app... about how the app is broken. That review pretty much sums it up. It was a fantastic at but I guess they decided to do away with it because it doesn’t work. Won’t open. Won’t let you look at saved files. The really unfortunate thing is when I reach out to support they pretend to walk me through possible solutions… The usual stuff about rebooting and making sure I have updated my phone… But I don’t think they’re going to help me recover my lost files
