The app is very simple to use and the ability to add drums and bass automatically is good. The problems come when you write things in weird time signatures. You can set the time signature to 3/4, 4/4, or 6/8. This is pretty basic and more time signatures need to be added. Bugs are frequent and the app may refuse to play a recording unless you restart the app. In summary, I still use because it’s from Apple and not some developer I don’t trust, but it can use some improvement.

This app will erase it’s data. Don’t do it! There is NO way to quantify the loss and anger you WILL feel and experience WHEN this app deletes all the ideas you were saving. Keep looking. Don’t download this app. This app WILL delete your files without your knowledge. I just lost two years of song beginnings, chord progressions, guitar licks, piano items I was working on, and more. GONE. And there is NO WAY to restore those items. You’re better off buying an old tape recorder. To the “people” responsible for making and updating this app, isn’t it time to do the responsible thing and remove this junk from the App Store?

Can’t export, can’t upload to iCloud. Nothing!!!

Recorded perfect tracks on this dream app, which gives u bass and drums,... now I can’t upload to iCloud nor email nor anything to put it on my iPad .... help!,,

Glitches. It sometimes plays only 2 second section over and over on some of these clips and if I try to move to a different section it flips back and just loops the 2 seconds. I have to force quit and reopen but then sometimes it happens again. Also when I click to record I have to press the button multiple times for it to record

You have the money. You have the brilliant programmers. What’s the hold up? You’ve dangled the carrot and had lots of bites. Now give this app the attention and development that it deserves. As is, it’s an invaluable tool for mapping spontaneous musical ideas. With some fine tuning and enhancement it would be indispensable. It’s brilliant beginning is dwarfed only by its unrealized potential. PS I have no idea whether ratings affect app development , but if YOU are a MUSIC MEMO FAN who gave it a one star review because of frustration or disappointment, by all means voice your concerns and grievances, but perhaps consider changing your rating to 5 stars. Who knows? Maybe at Apples next in house developers meeting someone will notice a spike in 5 star reviews and this app will finally get the attention it deserves .
