Not bad but needs work

All the info is correct it’s just laid out terribly. They should look at the now defunct ITrans and learn what an app like this could do. Also it should be linked with bus time.

Very handy

Old NYer

Unlike New York Subway MTA, which only shows scheduled train times, MTA Subway Time shows the same information seen in the subway system itself; that is, the actual, expected arrival times, based on current conditions. The interface is also very easy to use. I’d like to see one enhancement though. Once you select a train and a station, it would be nice to be able to quickly compare any other trains that arrive at the same station, so a commuter can more easily decide in a route change, if possible. Still, it isn’t that hard to look up alternative routes quickly, but not if you’re unfamiliar with where you are, e.g. tourists, when you might not know what other trains are available. Nevertheless, it’s a very nice app.

Simple but effective

You input what train you want, then the station, and you have the estimated time. Refreshes every 5 seconds, which is convenient, but as many other people have said, a favorite station, which are the ones we use every day to and from work/school, should be implemented.

Barely functional

Like everything the MTA does, this is perhaps the worst execution of an app that tells you train arrival times. You can't favorite stations, you have to endlessly scan through screens for both train lines and stations. For some reason, uptown and downtown stops are just in an arbitrary single page. So many features that could be just don't exist: perhaps commute train stops which it sends you push notifications for during your commute time so you know when the trains are arriving. Or the same form delays on your commute route. Finally, it has the visual polish of a middle school poster. All said and done, it's actualy what I expect from the MTA. An embarrassing bad app to go along with an embarrassingly bad subway system.

Worse than ever!

This app is rarely accurate and will not refresh without going back and re-selecting the station. Biggest problem is that it doesn't match the in-station sign boards anywhere close to as well as the old app, nor is it close enough to reality to use as a remotely reliable source. This is quite literally the worst transit app I have ever seen and I ride the subway over 6 times per day on average. I had no complaints about the previous app...

Missing train line

It's ok a slight bug

This app fails to tell me times about the A train. I can’t see what time my train is coming because the A line is not an option. That is the only train that is located in my area.

Where's the A train?

MsVinNYC

Even the app has no idea when this often unreliable train is going to show up...it's not even listed as a choice. Arghhh.

No A train icon/button...

Where’s the info for the A train?

Its good but not great.

Luis150

Accuracy is what i want the most out of a transit app, however it can be structured in a better way. If you add a home station selection icon as well as a station search bar this app would be much more user friendly. Best.

Where’s the A train

Where’s the A? Will it be added?
