Used to be good

I’ve been using this app for a long time. The time tracking is incorrect now. How is it that I could’ve spent over two hours today on my phone when it’s 12:30 am? It’s been doing this for awhile now. I also think it’s saying I’ve spent more time than I actually have, considering I know for a fact I didn’t spend 13 hours on my phone a few days ago. I’m disappointed.

Spent an hour trying to get to work.

Thoughts of a Monster

Sounds like a great idea and even was gullible enough to purchase the upgrade to premium. Mistake. I’ve spent the past hour trying to do exactly what they suggest to track my usage and all the stuff with taking screenshots of battery usage. Waste of time. So far, the app has locked three times, and even when it wasn’t locked, it never got the analysis to work of my time usage per my battery usage.

Enlightening

In search of lost time

Had no idea how much time I was spending on my phone.

The best app to help you become productive

Moment gives you the ability to Track and log the time that you use on your phone and what apps you’re using your phone on, basically helping you figure out just how much time you use on your Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube. And by helping you notice the time for example 4 hours, one hour on Facebook, one hour on Snapchat, one hour on YouTube,& one hour on instagram. Moment helps you identify and become aware those 4 hours wasted on your phone. Thus, helping you decide on what other positive productive things to do with your free time (FOUR hours). The premium feature does offer a more heavily start approach on helping you to put down your phone. But the free version still offers a similar version of it, but a more lately basic version. Nonetheless the free version still helps you put down your phone, it is hard to explain but I promise you if you give this app one week and follow what it says and go the extra mile and take that screenshot of the battery usage every day, I repeat every day for better accuracy. And you will not regret it, that is if you were actually trying to get off of your phone because we all know, majority of the time WE spend on our phones is over nothing productive or helpful to anyone in anyway, not even to ourselves. So quick example, there’s 24 hours in a day, if you go to school or work full time (8 hours), and sleep 8 hours, You’ve then got about 8 hours left in your day (give or take a few minutes) So if you spend those 4 hours on your phone, whether it be one or several apps divided into 4 hours. Then you e downed your time to 4 hours of your day to do ANYTHING else. Point is, if you took those 4 hours on your phone, and tried I don’t know, ONE Hour (maybe walk or jog, run.) ONE Hour (Reading/ Studying/LEARNING) ONE Hour (Clean your house maybe) ONE Hour (of whatever you want, that does NOT involve your phone) Just examples, I’m not pushing an active lifestyle on anyone I’m just giving you examples. But if you’re serious about it then get this app. It will indeed help you ALOT. It’s helped me and I’ve referred a few friends and it’s helping us a lot more honestly we have more free time to do much more productive and mindful/aware activities. Finally, Thank you Moment, and it’s crew for creating an app that can help us all get off our phones and enjoy life by the extra hours to cherish the physical companies of the loved ones around us. Or at least me. Thanks!

Greatly improved, needs another update

Seabones

I’ve been using this app for a while now, and it has been enlightening to say the least. When it is working properly, the insights into my daily, weekly, monthly phone use is helpful in actively cutting down on screen time. Lately however, moment has been tracking background app usage of apps like Spotify and Podcasts, which racks up my daily usage to a point that the app is unreliable. The app exclusion function doesn’t seem to work any more. Hopefully the next update will fix this. It’s been months since the last one, so I hope the developer is getting close. Until then, I have it turned off.

Useful - but needs a few improvements

Overall your app is great. And much needed. You are on the brink of something important. That wing said, your app seems invasive, has to know where I am, have access to my photos? Seems strange. Your explanations for why you need a battery screen shot and stuff aren't all that clear. You need better UX and copywriting that helps the user know you aren't being invasive etc. IMPORTANT: your app needs to know the difference between phone time spent on text and social media etc and using Google maps! I use google maps a lot to get around and find places, but just cause it's on while I'm driving doesn't mean I'm "using my phone" in the same manner that I am trying to avoid when using this app. This seems like a HUGE oversight. Fix it.

Great help for parenting

I love this app. I can monitor and see how long they have been on at school so when they come home I can check out how much they have really been on

Why do you need my location??

Jesser80

I wanted to try this but I need more of an explanation than “for technical reasons “ if an app that doesn’t ostensibly have anything to do with location needs “always” for location tracking. Plus battery life. No thanks.

Good concept, very helpful

This app is great and has helped me decrease my time on my phone.

Year premium user - new update broke app

ttucckk

I’ve had the premium version for almost a year and it has been life altering. However, now it tracks usage in the background when my phone is locked. I have noticed this most apparently with music streaming apps like tidal. I hook it up to my bluetooth speaker then walk away to do work - this is clearly not screen time as the phone is locked and out of reach. Zero issues before this update, please fix this as I know many premium users will stop subscribing since this seems to be a growing issue.
