I watched a bunch of YouTube videos about using metadata to help you copyright protect your artwork & photos, other than just watermarking. I thought this app could help. I even purchased the “Edit Data” feature. It featured an option of “Edit Data”, so I thought that was generalized enough to include adding your signature in the data section. It only allows you to change the Date, time, and location. I feel like a fool. I must have missed something.
Good App, but need ability to copy location

This is a great app to modify date and time so that I can get a friends android pics in the correct order on my iPhone. 5 stars if it had the ability to copy and paste the exact location from one photo to another.

Privacy-sensitive, fascinating app

I’ve never used location services with my photos until now, because I want my privacy preserved. However, that stance means that I lose some valuable information. Accordingly, I decided to explore the possibility of using location services with photos, in light of Apple’s strong privacy approach (yay!), which keep such data local to my device (I don’t use iCloud or any other service). But that would mean that I couldn’t share photos with anyone. Enter Metapho—an app that allows me to strip metadata from photos before I share, while maintaining those data on the original photo. I’ve only had the app for about 30 minutes, but I’ve played with it extensively and want to share a couple of features I love. First: Privacy. As you can probably imagine from the initial paragraph of this review, no app joins my app collection until I’ve reviewed, and approved of, the privacy policy. This app has one of the best I’ve seen. A few short paragraphs. No legalese, no weasel words. Just: “Your data stay on your device. We don’t want your data. We don’t have a server. We don’t use 3d-party analytics.” Wow! For $3.99 for the features, and nothing I do with the app is used by the app dev to increase its bottom line?! Fantastic. Second: Fascinating information about my photos. My favourite relates to the *direction* my camera was pointing when the photo was taken. The map info shows a little spotlight beam pointing in the direction the lens was looking. Amazing!!! As for the sharing aspect, Metapho makes the task sooo easy. It allows the user to open the camera roll (or specific albums) directly from the app. It also allows the user to open the stock photo app ans select Metapho from the share sheet. I will just have to remember to send photos from one if those 2 sources, rather than directly from iMessage. In sum: Fabulous job, developers. You rock.
The only one I’ve found to update iPhone Live pics

Most of the exif managers remove the live feature but this one retains it. Easy to use and works brilliantly. Perfect!

This app is a must have if you require an iOS device to manage photos and their metadata. My only request would be to add photo tagging like MacOS has in Photos, but my guess is Apple doesn’t have an API for this?

Long time user of metaphoto. This app is great for removing personal information from your photos before sharing them. Also, it lets you find out more about what/how other photos were shot. Highly recommend ????
