I just have the free version for now, but I would recommend this app to get back into the practice of studying Japanese. This app helps with word recognition by sight and sound.

I would say it’s a five, but the app tried to teach me cuss words when I was learning French. I would also like to say maybe they should make it to where we learn the alphabet first and then the phrases and words. Just a thought.

I just downloaded this and I’ve learned so many thing so far and I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese because I know Spanish and I’m American and Spanish and African-American so I wanted to learn Korean and Japanese because I’ve always wanted to ever since I was just a little girl and Korean is also the same I’ve always wanted to learn it and I know when I go to Tokyo Japan ?? or Seoul,Korea ?? some people I may meet may not understand my language and also because I’ve wanted to learn it because I would love to have friends from all over the world and I’d love to talk and actually understand what they’re saying and I want to learn multiple languages so I love this app so so much ??

Signed up for Irish and also māori, which are available in the site. But was bummed to find they are not available on the app.

Great for beginners

Really helpful for a total beginner, may be slow for someone who has some background in the language but I’m starting from square one so the pace is perfect. It does, however, require a rudimentary familiarity with the letters.

I am using Memrise for job opportunities and I like it a lot! Everything is super easy to learn especially for very beginners. Would definitely recommend!!
