Pronunciation tests are frustrating

I’ve taken German classes for three years, and generally feel my pronunciation is pretty good. I also use Duolingo without any issues. But Memrise is so darn frustrating with the Pronunciation tests. It says I’m wrong probably 65% of the time. Something as simple as “Der General; Die Generalin”. I can never satisfy it. It would be nice to skip this part of the program.

Good for keeping up with learning, or learning some key phrases. Slight ding, with a digital platform you’d think they’d be able to easily add some practice variety to the phrases. Why do I always have to buy a new hat? Why not a shirt, and pants, etc? Would help improve vocabulary and sentence structure learning if new nouns were used. That can even be built in algorithmically, they just wouldn’t have recordings for those new nouns, which is OK.

Half the functions do not work. I suspect that’s because you have to subscribe yearly instead of monthly.

Pronunciation/spelling

Some words are cut off at the beginning, making it impossible to understand the full word. For answers that you type in the word, some question words require a ? While others do not.

Hey imma start by saying I love the app, I’m currently killing it in Danish, one thing I wanted to suggest is. When you fail at the word, or phrase can it take you back to the part you failed. I find it pointless to have to repeat the whole process but it doesn’t bring me to the problem which was pronunciation. Also why am I unable to click Learn Grammar?

This app do be pretty cool tho Like it’s easy to use and in my opinion better than quizlet so yeah I know I go for a cool stupid approach in this writing but this is actually very useful and I would definitely recommend just in case you weren’t convinced

This app used to be awesome and have quality content! Now you have to pay for most of it or put up with the annoying pop-up ads. I’m sure this is on purpose, but now I’m turned off from using the app or recommending it others. Memrise, you were awesome until you started wanting to eat up all my pocket change! For quality language material, there’s better resources on YouTube or podcasts. Please find some other ways to make money than annoy your users
