Holy baloney, what a good app.

This is a wonderful discovery. It’s far better in both usability and customization than the stock music app, and removes 90% of my complaints with Apple Music. (Apple itself would be wise to keep there eye on this app and hire these folks — no Sherlocking!) Once you learn to navigate and customize your settings, getting around the app is a breeze. Marvis:Music :: MacOS:Windows The only downsides are the obvious ones: an inability to integrate as fully as Apple’s stock app. I have several HomePods and not being able to control their music from the app is frustrating. I presume that’s not something Apple let’s devs have access to. Aside from some small things, it’s really a wonderful app. Kudos to the creators.

Good app

Song title blank in mini-player, frequent pausing

Questian1

This app is hands down the best music player available in the amount of customization it offers. I’ve tried many over the years and only found one other that was as sophisticated until the developer gave up on it (Tuneshell). I never understood why Apple didn’t put more effort into the stock music app and iTunes given how the iPod/iPhone revived the nearly dead company, but even more baffling is their willingness to maintain complete control of the API and hamstring third party app development while refusing to invest in their own quality music products. That being said, this latest update seems to have added a minor bug that removed the song title from the mini player and only shows the album cover in the lower right corner. Not a huge problem but one that makes it difficult to know what is currently playing when browsing the queue. I am definitely getting the startup delay you mentioned with long lists. I currently have 20,000 total songs loaded and your advisory on this issue was one reason I put off migrating to iOS 13 as long as I did, but now the song pauses briefly every 20 seconds or so. This is an unfortunate deal-breaker for me and one I dearly hope will be fixed soon. Marvis has been a stellar product and I can only hope it withstands Apple’s control-freak attitude towards third party apps in the future. Update: Thanks for the quick and helpful response! Great customer support is like gold nowadays in the digital world.

Best music player in a while!

Love the flexibility and the way this app plays music and the ability to customize my interactions with the application. Best app that I’ve used in a while to play my music!

Awesome app

nj1023

It’s basically a perfect app for those of us who still like downloading music. It reminds of the the old pre-Apple Music iOS music app, but even better. Also, I haven’t found many iOS apps at all with this level of customization. Highly Recommended!

Powerful alternative music player

F16mech

This music player is very powerful. It can feel busy at times, but if you scrutinize, rate, organize your music experience then this is for you. The ability to have landscape mode is a great addition. My only thing I would like to see if some way to differentiate songs when viewing music in the drop down option. It’s hard to tell where the last song of an album is before the next one is. Perhaps highlight the songs in a different gradient to its easier to see. Other than that. I love it.

Almost great

iGreeley

Really one of the best music apps I’ve used. It has one, nearly fatal, flaw. The fact that to get lyrics you have to install a separate app. I don’t care the reason, this is what keeps me looking at other apps. Fix this, and I stop looking

Worth the price

Mike_unt

I bought this app specifically for the last fm feature, and I have to say this this works better than the official last fm app.
