Covid 10

Hello I’m a lift driver with over 1300 rides , but since the issue of the COVID 19. I had to spot making rides because I’m HIGH RISK , I’m 76 years old And a COPD condition , so I would like to know what is your treatment in such situation ? As you understand I’m not earning any money. Thank you, Dany Haratz

Do Better

Maybe with all the additional funds they take from drivers. I think it’s a 60/40 split now. Maybe they can Invest in getting their app to work with CarPlay, then I wouldnt have to invest in additional accessories while I’m getting screwed on pay. Also, it is absolutely disgusting to make anything under $5 on a ride. How am I going to have a 4.7 mile in Phoenix on a fri night at 10:00pm and have a payout of $3.88.. I could have made more on a cancelled ride.. Especially with the limited amount of rides and drivers during this media pushed epidemic. To still be taking so much from your drivers is sad. -DO BETTER-

Passengers that are getting pick up from any grocery stores like Walmart should be charged more or drivers should get pay more since they don’t usually give tips. Not only they take their sweet time loading and unloading but they have at least more than 5 grocery bags and 2 cases of bottle waters. ( this scenario was even before the COVID-19). I would usually help if it’s an older person of course but still no tip. Drivers job are to take passengers from point A to point B but some people are taking advantage of us when they do grocery shopping. Let alone it’s a $3 ride. Just voicing out my opinion. thanks, Michael E.

Customer No Show dings the Driver in this version.

Waiting over five minutes seems required. The App definetly should not lie and ask why are YOU canceling this ride. It is a Customer SOFT-CANCEL. And there should be no question about it. Help us be Team Players and tell us what you expect in these situations. Also 'Seems like you Cancel a lot ' as a pop up on the screen is pretty disheartening when it is not true. There is no due process to even present the facts. Please program the software to not send a customer when a driver is in the center of a highway interchange. I had trucks on either side and had never been in that interchange before. Of course I had to ignore the App. I have a liability to the Public and the State before looking down at my phone holder and finding and clicking a tiny button. With the new refined localization can we have the customer request AFTER I am safely out of the interchange? I am willing to turn around but not so much interested in fiddling when I need to be concentrating..

Pandemic

Do not drive for Lyft...they refuse to pay for long pick ups so guess who pays? If you refuse long pick ups, they threaten you with deactivation. They don’t care how safe or great a driver you are. They also change the estimated fare to their advantage. Being a Lyft driver means subsidizing rider’s lifestyles! Shame on Lyft and their riders!

Uber a bit better

Jay Hammy

Been driving off and on for a couple years and here’s what I noticed. *they finally added dark mode ?? *lyft app is busier compared to Uber. More rides frequent it seems. *downside is the auto add passenger to queue part. Makes it hard for you to control your driving when they dump a ride on you with no knowledge of how far the pickup, who it is or where they’re going until you pick them up. *destination mode needs to be back to 5 uses a day *cant cash out while in a ride or picking up *really hard to chat with support in a timely manor *when the signal is weak and you have to arrive manually outside of 100ft from pickup point you won’t receive a cancellation fee. *you have to touch the app too much to start and end a ride where as Uber apps just does that for you. *you don’t get paid for surges. U get a power zone that adds maybe $2-3 and pops up randomly. * airport rides to and from are clutch!

Ride call

Summack

I agree with the pause call feature. I also had someone call before I could drop the other passenger(s) off and that ruins their ride and a headache for me because they get mad I want talk about their info or situations over the phone. Also who drops an app update at 3pm. There needs to be a scheduled appointment for updates. Because now my maps won’t work in the middle of a drive.....so now I’m looking up information and plugging it into Apple Maps so I can find people until it takes me offline so I can update

Destination Trips time out fast

John Nero

What I don’t like about the Lyft destination feature is that if you log out before you receive a trip it still counts as you have used it. Drivers are limited to using this twice a day. Uber destination feature doesn’t time out as fast as Lyft does and it will permit you to use it again if you haven’t received a trip. Lyft copies Uber features quite a bit however it is implementation if far more restrictive than Uber’s. So I would urge to make this feature driver friendly so that drivers have a fair chance to reach the destination with a rider rather than going empty. Thanks!!
