This app is horrible and you will fail miserably at trying to register and use this app. I feel it is on purpose by design to not function. You have to use the MyEquifax in a browser. The APP DOES NOT WORK! It is a fake APP

The app does not work! When you try to login, it shows: ”there has been an error connecting to the severs”. Very frustrating!

Try to sign in using my Equifax account that I used to manage my credit freeze, this stupid app doesn’t work to recognize the password at all. Always remember that you pay The price for these companies crappy security practices and shoddy mobile app development.

I downloaded the app. Couldn’t log in. Called Equifax for help. Had to mail in my SSN Card & driver’s license. Waited a week. Called again. Representative said it’s not an Equifax App. Said to get ahold of Lock & Alert directly, but didn’t know how to do that. I have deleted the app. A week later…… Got a letter from Equifax stating that my dispute has been settled and I can start using Lock and Alert. It seems to work now.

I downloaded this app to unfreeze my credit report and all it says is that I have a freeze on my account and that I need to log into equifax. WHAT IS THE POINT OF AN APP TO MAINTAIN YOUR CREDIT FREEZE THAT JUST TELLS YOU TO LOG INTO THE MAIN WEBSITE TO MAINTAIN YOUR FREEZE!?! IT HAS ONE FUNCTION IT CANNOT EVEN DO. EDIT: So what you can only lock your credit with the app, not freeze it? What a waste of space to download this app.

I’ve been using the app for a few years and have enjoyed being able to lock and unlock my credit when needed. I was at the bank and forgot to unlock it so was denied and then I had realized I hadn’t unlocked my credit report… once I did, it was automatically corrected and the bank ran my credit report. So far I’ve not had an issue since I downloaded the app. Amazing tool. : )
