Best way to learn a language by yourself. Efficient, concise and coherent. Looking forward to new languages. The only issue is that it requires constant internet connection. And two suggestions: 1) add images under words, so that learners memorize words even more efficiently. 2) the card swiping is not very efficient, it should be easier and faster.

Great tool for learning a language

This app is fantastic! I was hesitant at first for an app as simple as flashcards since I haven't had much luck with flashcard apps in the past. This one exceeded my expectations as it has a great interface and is easy to use. I love the graph that shows how many words you know, it really helps put it into perspective. Excellent!

Great stuff but...

I prefer the web version. The swiping is not efficient. You have to press return to continue. "Done" just removes the keyboard but doesn't advance the screen. Similarly, when the screen does advance, you need to tap the blank field to bring up the keyboard. But the worst part is that the very important audio feature doesn't work. I hope they can address these very basic design flaws in a new release.

Just what I'm looking for in language learning. I haven't worried too much about the 200 hour claim but if I hit that landmark I'll let you know what my fluency really is.

Fix the sound

Great app and I really enjoy using this to learn. Unfortunately, since iOS 10, the sound hasn't been working and that was one of the best features of this app. The diction and pronunciation were very clear and helped speed by learning. This major bug has been broken for more than a month without a fix. Please do!

What is going on here?

There is no sound or instructions. All I could get from the learn screen was fill in the blank questions, which is not helpful if one does not know any vocabulary. It would probably be a better app if there were instructions on how to use it.

Miss the readings

I miss the readings. Why were they removed??

App crashes after update. Will miss the reading and listening features.

Couldn't even open it

I signed up with my Facebook (big mistake, now they have my email). I tried to click French and it crashed. So I opened it up again. Crashed. I uninstalled. Would not recommend.

extremely effective and fun!

I am at an intermediate level of French and for quite some time I've been struggling learning new vocabulary because most language applications are aimed towards beginners. This app is different because when you first sign up, you are tested to see where you stand in your level of expertise. This app tecahes you vocabulary through sentences with audio which is very effective. There are also many grammar tips which I find helpful. It's also free!! I couldn't believe it. Thank you so much for such a great app! Merci!!
