1Blocker is a content blocker that makes it easy to block ads and tracking scripts by just flipping a switch. It is time to stop ad networks and analytics providers build deep profiles about you across the web.

In addition to ad blocking, you can also block comments, various social widgets, share buttons, obtrusive EU cookie law notices, adult sites, and more. Preinstalled blockers update automatically from our servers.

1Blocker also enables you to create your own blockers: either configure blockers on-the-go using simple built-in editor or create completely custom blocker packages using our advanced web editor.

In multiple indepdendent tests, enabling 1Blocker decreases page loading time and total downloaded data on average by over 50%. 1Blocker will save not only your battery life, but also your mobile data traffic.

Last, but not least – 1Blocker is not a proxy server, we don't see what web pages you visit, which is just how it should be. We're supported entirely by our users and don't take money from advertisers.

Slimy way to force me to upgrade
Aggiedave1998

It’s bad enough this developer is trying to force me to pay another $5 for functionality I’ve already paid for. But the way in which this is accomplished is downright slimy. Essentially, 1Blocker Legacy now blocks many, many legitimate sites. Most streaming sites won’t work unless I turn off 1Blocker. Many news sites like Fox News won’t load at all unless I turn off 1Blocker. Quite underhanded and slimy way to try to force more money out of a loyal customer. I feel like I need a shower.

App to Block Ads IS An Ad
S. Barnes

I am interested in this because I noticed Facebook third party apps on other websites and that is not something I want to be a part of. You can block ONE thing only- if you switch it up and try different settings a whole page ad telling you to "Buy the $5 app!" will come up. Not to mention the banner ads, the premium button, etc. etc. I don't know how well this app actually works, but isn't it a bit ironic that I downloaded this trying to get rid of ads and it is essentially one giant ad? Seems pretty lame.

Pointless

All the do is advertise another add blocker 1blockerx Would not buy again

Lies about compatibility
fuqnugget

Sadly I reset an old iPad that is stuck at iOS 9.3.5 but otherwise works great. Sadly because by resetting I lost this and other apps that fail to load anymore because of compatibility. Apple is partially at fault here but also the devs for not ensuring old customers can still restore their purchases after a restore on an older device. DONT SAY its compatible if actually I can't get it from the store anymore!!

Useless now - doesn’t block anything
haydenpaulsen

Many ads based on browsing history blanket web pages even though the app is properly installed (and paid for). Obviously designed to make you purchase the new version

Disappointed
YelperATV

First, disappointed that I can not share this with my family AS I PAID FOR IT. They get the slim version, which is unsatisfactory. Furthermore, why do I see Facebook, WhatsApp appearing on espn? I have those disabled. I’m close to uninstalling

1Blocker X

I paid for this and now I gotta pay more for the new app, Great

Regarding upgrade from 1Blocker to 1Blocker X...
jatyas

I don’t mind paying for worthwhile upgrades at reasonable intervals. Two and a half years between paid upgrades is EXTREMELY REASONABLE. This especially true given the excellent performance of the original 1Blocker app and the extra functionality included in the upgraded 1Blocker X app. I don’t believe that the original 1Blocker app has been retroactively engineered by the developer to implement artificially reduced functionality as a not-so-subtle inducement for current customers to upgrade. At least I haven’t found any evidence of such. Regarding 1Blocker X (for which I paid), the added functionality is great but some mainstream websites are still blocked entirely with the default rule sets. So clearly some further tinkering is necessary on behalf of the developer.

Paid full price. Now the “legacy” features are hobbled
NickDiaz

I once recommended this app to people. Now I warn them against it. Paid full price for features that are no longer included, requiring a new up charge for “premium”.

Apparently No Longer Working
jamomania

I bought and paid for this app when content blockers were a new thing in iOS9, so I’ve had use out of it for the price I paid. It seems like there are more and more ads creeping through daily, though. I don’t resent the developers for wanting to get a fresh surge of revenue with a new implementation, and for leaving this app without maintenance, but I do want to warn that you probably shouldn’t buy this one.
