Best way to start learning kanji

Yomommae40

Once I began learning Japanese I was completely overwhelmed by the THOUGHT of having to learn Kanji. I have many workbooks and have take Japanese corses. This app has worked the best by far. It is extremely simple. I guess the only down fall is that it doesn’t help improve use of kanji in sentences.

LOVE IT!!!

I love that I can practice writing Kanji on this app! I love the stroke order guide!

[Lag Bug Fix Found] Best Kanji Learning by far!

Hitoshi95

I don’t normally write app reviews, but this one and its sister “Japanese!!” Are by far the best kanji learning apps I’ve ever seen. As a degree holder in Psychology, the methods this app uses to make everything stick are very sound and remind me of Anki. If you want an all-comprehensive way to get introduced to kanji, look no further, and expect rapid progress if you keep at it every day and make sure to properly review so what you did learn doesn’t leak back out. About the lag bug: if the app begins to slow down and get input lag, try completely closing the app and re-opening it. For me it started with minor pen lag and escalated as I learned more kanji, so this was a life saver. Seems like some kind of corruption builds up and that fixes it.

It's amazing

yahnansnabwban

It's helpful for learning how to write it and know the meanings then It gives the sound so you will know how to say it. Once you do it a lot you will learn how to do it!

Perfect, But it will cost $10

Artiste de arte

That’s literally all I have to say. It’s exactly what you didn’t know you needed. Highly recommended whether you want to learn to read and write or not.

Decent App

The overall structure of the app flows well. The design seems to have taken inspiration from Duolingo. There aren’t a lot of apps out right now offering to teach Kanji. It’s good to see the developer noticing this absence and making the app. However, the app requires you to pay for content. Only one lesson is available for free. The rest of the content is behind a paywall. Which is understandable considering the time is took to make the app. I wish the app could be entirely free and use ads to facilitate this.

Not being able to purchase a lesson

Hello, for some reason i can't purchase a lesson in this app, just because your website is down i've decided to reach out to you in here. Could you please somehow contact me somewhere? I would like to buy a lesson and pay for it with paypal or something. (paypal didn't work either from the app)

Uninstalling this app

It would be better if we didn’t have to pay after the very first lesson of each chapter….

Good for writing, bad for pronunciation

LuckyAnimeFarmer

I’m a native Japanese who grew up mostly in the United States. I have some formal education in Japan. I purchased this to refresh my kanji knowledge and it’s great. However, the pronunciation is REALLY OFF! It bothers me so much I almost don’t want to keep using it!

Simple and effective

Salomandir

I am visiting Japan in a little less than a year so I decided to take my hobby of learning Japanese seriously. I’ve gotten genki and other typical resources- but I could not find something that would make me stick with learning Kanji. I love how simple this is, not overwhelming at all. I didn’t much care to learn stroke order, just reading, but it’s actually helping me to remember the Kanji. This to me is a 10/10, simple and very helpful.
