Can’t open it later on

xuxubong

I bought level 1 and after I’ve done, prepare to Level 2 it completely stopped and didn’t work anymore. Feel happy at first but disappointed later

Great tool for learning Japanese

Tulrin

This app is not the only one I use, rather it is one of a series of indispensable tools but the main one for learning first Kana and now Kanji. The writing feature is a great new addition. This app is worth every penny and then some!

Great app now that writing practice has been added

Lou Art

It’s new and a little buggy, but with the addition of stroke-order writing practice for kanji - I am using this app on my phone more and more. Future improvements I hope will include both Onyomi and Kunyomi readings for the kanji. It is also very useful to learn the common kanji compounds and not just individual kanji.

Fix new update

bobby_5097

The new update crashes every second. I can’t study because I can’t finish a single lesson. - How quick they fixed a minor mistake shows how much the developer cares about the app. Thank you for listening.

Crashing

Jill154320

I don’t know what happened with the new update, but my app is now crashing after making it through one question of the “review past due” modules. I have tried restarting my phone, re-downloading the app, etc... nothing seems to be working. **EDIT** The developer was an absolute doll and reached out to me. There are still a few things here or there that are bugging for me, but there is definitely significant improvement!

Finally!

After a delete and re-download, everything is working fine!

After update bugs were fixed

The developer was on top of it with the bugs that appeared in the last update. App great to its regular awesomeness.

The greatest kanji app!

Stout Gaming

As someone who has tried 10’s of Japanese learning apps. This one is by far the best. It’s divided into n5-n1 with 4-5 kanji in each lesson. You’ll learn the English meaning, how to say them, and what the kanji is. Just learn 2-3 lessons per day and run through all the ones you know with the review all feature and you’ll be amazed at how fast you learn to read them. I’ve had limited success with writing though. Pair this with the Japanese! App and you’ll be well on your way to mastery. I like these 2 apps better than Duolingo, Mondly, Lingodeer, and many others. Highly recommend!

Won’t sync my purchase to my ipad

kanjiiii

I have enjoyed using the app and bought extra lessons, which works fine on my iphone yet would not sync to my ipad. On my ipad app, it asks me to make another purchase and pressing “restore purchases” won’t do anything either, would love it and change this review if it is fixed, as everything else works great.

Great app, but has mistakes and bugs.

cosmicchaotic

There’s a bug in level 1, lesson 31. The app is acting like just “つ” is the correct word for both one (counter) and two (counter) when it should be “一つ” and “二つ” respectively. Once it gets to a certain part of the lesson, it asks what “つ” means (takes “two (counter)” as the correct answer), and shows the usual grid of kanji to select it from. The grid does not have a 一 or 二 character in it. Selecting another character like 三 causes the app to crash and forget progress made in level 1, lesson 31. This isn’t the only mistake I’ve found, but it is the most obtrusive so far. All in all though, this is a great app. It should only be a supplement to other sources of Kanji/Japanese language learning material, but it’s still super useful.
