So, if you’re going to charge money for any use of the app, I would recommend being up front about it. Discovering that after download and the first lesson is incredibly frustrating. And I KNOW that you’re going to say “it’s just a trial period, so that people know if they like the app or not”, but regardless this app is not upfront about it. I would prefer some notification in the description or something, so I don’t have to waste my time downloading an app when I don’t want to pay for one.

Fun but kind of restricting and repetitive

I wish there were more options to make it feel less repetitive. It would be nice to have different activities in the lesson other than flash cards. The only way you can do reviews is if you press [Review Everything] or [Review Past Due]. You can redo the lesson again but it’s gets tiring spamming okay when it reintroduces the kanji again. I think you should make a feature that gives you the control of choosing a couple lessons and do a review at the same time like a [Review Selected] button. Another feature you should add is a kanji tree in that shows you how much kanji there is to learn in the each level. Also maybe some more color options, just for some variety? Maybe modernize the look of the interface and speed up the animation for switching kanji so that you can be more efficient? At this point I’m just throwing suggestions at you. Good app overall

Very best app for learning Kanji

Bebe Soft

This app is amazing, it is everything that I could have asked for in learning Kanji. I have purchased books, but staring at white sheets of paper and dealing with erasing and mistakes is quite annoying. Besides that, who wants to carry around drawing books to work or wherever else. This app is perfect because now you can learn to draw the Kanji and it makes you review previous lessons so you don’t forget. It’s on your phone so there are no drawbacks of portability, erasing, or buying new paper, plus you can take it anywhere with you and practice on the train, uber, or anywhere else. This is a very well put together app and the perfect tool for learning on the fly. The only problem that I can point out is that the pronunciations are inaccurate computerized readings. They should probably work on that.

BEST Kanji App

Loughdough

So useful for learning Kanji! I recently bought it and I use it all the time. You’re definitely getting a bang for your buck.

best app for learning kanji!

Moco3980

I really love that it teaches you how to write each kanji. I’ve only done the first lesson but I’m SO excited to do more, and all of the lessons are so cheap as well! For 10 dollars (as of now, there is a sale) this is extremely worth it!

I’m glad

SMRA..

I think this is the best and the easiest way to learn Kanji.. I’m so happy that I found this app and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to learn Kanji.

Almost great

I really do like this app, but for whatever reason it will never read my writing of “to photograph” as correct. I have to turn off writing to get past that one character every time.

Great for learning Kanji

Edo Lemmenhead

This app is great for learning Kanji and I use it every day. I bought the whole series. However, there are a few mistakes in the reading of some characters and there are quite a few lessons where the app crashes. I sent feedback on a few of these, but they still have not been fixed. Overall a good learning tool and I would still recommend it.

Imperfect

Runs smoothly then stops. Fault reporting function faulty, impossible to report problems within app.
