1 year to fix notifications ?

Worked until last fall update then notifications stopped. Contacted GE and took until this update to get it working again. New app worked on my phone after this update but wouldn’t work at all on my wife’s iPhone until I removed the app and reinstalled it, Now it’s working again. ?. What took so long fixing the app?

App never works right. Rarely connects to the dryer. Pathetic that a company like GE put out an app like this. We purchased the GE dryer because it had WiFi connectivity, and for the ease of tracking the cycles. GE is a total failure at this technology. The app is 100% unreliable. I will not make the mistake of purchasing from GE next time. To many other brands to turn to. Before this purchase I would have only owned a GE, but that will not be the case moving forward. 100% disappointed. GE could probably find a high school student that could build a better app than this. Stay away from GE WiFi Dryers!!!

The app works. It can let you see how much time is left and the push notifications for when a cycle is complete work fast and reliably. But you cannot actually “control” the machine. To do that you have to manually push the delay. This means that if I wanted to run the dryer a little the next morning I’d have to go down to the basement to do it, which I feel like defeats the purpose...

GE leadership must be moronic

What a dumb thing to lose a customer over. The app never works, not once since the iPhone X came out. Almost two years ago. How dumb does your leadership have to be not to invest properly in the smart devices sector? As if it’s going to ever go away? Instead GE prefers to push customers away forever. Because the last thing they’ll remember is that every time they went to use the one feature that actually got them excited about a washer and dryer, it never worked.

Can never pair the devices despite following the instructions perfectly and after multiple attempts. After selecting the device’s WiFi endpoint and returning to the app, I am presented with an error in red stating that the wrong network is selected. Unfortunate because this has potential.

I was hoping to be notified on my phone or iPad when the cycle for either the washer or dryer was finished but no, I get absolutely nothing most of the time and occasionally a banner that says the cycle is done - but no beep. I do have a beep for starting though. Please fix this. The only reason I wanted WiFi was to “hear” when the clothes were done wherever I was. My old dryer at least had a loud buzz.

Just installed our smart washer and dryer. Notifications work fine. I was expecting to be able to fluff clothes from bed first thing in morning. I expected to be able to remotely add minutes to dry cycle. Not capable. Disappointing ?. Can’t be that hard to add those options.

While trying to connect my dryer to the app the password step will not let me input vowels. Setting up the washing machine was easy and no problems. Just can’t figure out why I can’t type the vowel letters of the dryer password.

Not connecting to wifi

At first my washer was great. I could leave it and knew that I would be notified once it has finished. But about 5 month’s ago it just up and quit sending notifications. So I reset the app on my phone and now I can not even connect my phone to it. The wifi indicator button just blinks! Please fix rid issue.

Just like most people here the app doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. Since I got the iPhone X the app has never sent notifications. The one reason I wanted a smart washer/dryer was to know when stuff was done. Doesn’t do it so I might as well delete.
