Honestly I have no idea why people review it so badly. It works perfectly for me and actually I have a load in right now in my washing machine and the app seems to be working perfectly fine. I think the only reason why people are rating it so badly is because it takes a while to set up. But yeah so far it’s been working perfectly. I highly recommend that you get the GE washer and dryer and download this app.

I love my new washer. This app is very helpful. It used to send me notifications when a load finished. I even got them on my Apple Watch. I turn them off when other family members are doing laundry. Lately nobody is getting notifications. If you go to the app, it tells you the status of the load, so the machine is still connected to WiFi. It’s still worth getting the app but the notifications were very nice.

Purchased a WiFi-enabled washer and dryer set specifically so I could get push notifications when loads complete. It worked for a couple months before notifications stopped coming. Turns out, GE hasn’t updated their app in over a year! Guess it’s not compatible with the newer iOS versions. I tried using IFTTT as a workaround, which worked, but IFTTT is constantly losing connection. There is no reason why a company the size of GE shouldn’t be supporting this app and keeping it current.

I debated on whether to write a review or not & then decided I should! After our last washer went out I spent a ton of time researching washers & GE came out on top. After much debating we ended up buying this model because it had the WIFI connections. To say that we are disappointed is well an understatement. I am still getting notifications when our laundry is done. Thank goodness ?. BUT my biggest complaint is the SMART DISPENSE notification. I have no way of knowing when our machine runs out of detergent & I thought the app was supposed to notify us??? Because Amazon doesn’t have a great hook-up with GE it doesn’t work properly. And so Alexa doesn’t tell me anything! Please fix this ....

May, 2019: It’s like you don’t even care. Ugh. App was great until I upgraded to the iPhone 8. On the iPhone 6, I got all notifications. Now, I get none. Also, it would be helpful to see which cycle the washer is on, not just the amount of time left. Update: notifications worked this morning after not working for several days. Another update (July 1): Have has to uninstall and reinstall washer twice. Looks like I have to do it again as it is not getting notifications. Dryer seems to stay connected no problem. Another update: (August): If you are expecting notifications, you will be disappointed. If you write a review thinking GE techs will do something to fix the app losing connection, you will again be disappointed. This app is a pain to set up especially considering it loses connection every other day.

They sold us the appliances. This app was great for a little while. Now it doesn’t work, Not giving as notifications. This was the main point of the whole app. It seems there is no support for GE appliances when it comes to their app.

I loved knowing when the cycle was done on both the washer and dryer. It stopped working several months ago and I reinstalled the app on my phone. It worked for about a week and quit again.

We have had a new smart washer and dryer for 9 months. When we first setup the app, it would notify me on the phone app when laundry was done. After about 4 months the notifications stopped. I believe the app doesn’t work with recent iOS updates, but it has been 5 months with no fix from the app developer. We have reported the problem 5 months ago. Once they fix the app so notifications start working I would rate the app higher. I can still use the app with remote control. Notifications when completed is the most useful to us.
