If you subscribe through the website you must call them to cancel your subscription. This is incredibly aggressive and anti-consumer. Don’t sign up for a free trial. It’ll be near impossible to get out of.

Warning: App reads data from your clipboard

The new iPhone OS tells you if an app is reading whatever is copied in your clipboard. Why is the LA Times app reading that data? Remove that from this app please, don’t be a creepy snooper!
Not great on iPad

On an iPad, you get a blown-up version of the iPhone app, which means that the layout is inadequate. Take a look at the NYT app for what the iPad version should look like.
Unable to load today’s newspaper

This frustrating situation has happened a few times, most recently on Nov. 21. I could not find any solution on the app, or a way to report the issue.
Love the Newspaper mode

I like the newspaper mode because you get what makes the headlines for that 24 hour period. I like to reflect more than react and it’s helpful. Also ensures the newspaper doesn’t just curate something based on what I like and I’m exposed to stories the way everyone else would see them.
So annoying to use

Why use a silly little back button that sometimes floats near the bottom of the screen instead of allowing swipe from the left edge to go back to the article list?! Why make your news app worse to use than all the rest?
App Won’t Recognize Paid Account

Starting today, the ipad app won’t recognize our paid account. My husband called customer service and they only reset the password. Still cannot read on this ipad.

Try scrolling. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it won’t move at all until it suddenly does. The selected articles are skimpy but the e-version is much, much worse. SIGH,
