The app stopped working with the 15.1 iOS update. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have turned my phone on and off. I can’t receive messages or send messages. Now it isn’t connecting.

I’ve used this app for about 8 years now......all of a sudden kik has started popping up ads every single time I open the app!! PLEASE GET RID OF THEM! Atleast 99% of them! There doesn’t need to be so many. It’s very obnoxious. ALSO, what’s up with this porno bots?! I don’t want these slutty bots messaging me! I report them, but I’m getting about 5 a day. I’m definitely deleting the app and finding something better. But just wanted to give my feedback beforehand! Ta-ta, kik!!!

Too many bots and spam messages

I was on Kik for nearly six years. When I initially joined, it was wonderful. With each update, it got worse and worse. It started with ads at the bottom of the screen. That was fine, no issue there. Then it added them at the top in chat. Still alright. But then the spam bots came and they took the identity of women trying to sell nudes. I am not exaggerating when I say I was getting them 3-7 times a day at minimum despite reporting and deleting each one. Then I started getting video ads that cant be skipped every time I opened a chat. Then it started showing me live shows when I tried clicking on my chats. Finally deleted the app today. It isn’t worth it. I would give no stars if I could.

Get rid of livestream?

I use this app A LOT and it’s been so slow and buggy since the livestreams have been added. Just drop them so your servers aren’t overloaded.

I get a minimum 4 spam messages a day. The app has really gone downhill quick. Not worth the headache of people trying to steal information or my identity.

I’ve been using kik for nearly 8 years. Lots of the updates have been wonderful but there’s plenty of bugs that need to be fixed still. Occasionally chat admins/owners will lose admin status and there’s no way to fix it without deleting and reinstalling that app. Deleting the app completely deletes all message history, even messages you haven’t read or received are lost to the void if you delete and reinstall the app, this desperately needs to be fixed and so does the admin status bug.

I had this app for a few years now. I enjoyed talking to my friends all the time. Now unfortunately I can’t click into the chat without it lagging and throwing me into someone’s live. It’s all about OF content now and random bots half naked send me messages out of nowhere. It’s tolerable, but it’s not the same app to me anymore and I’m about to get rid of it.
