Steady Eddie, only a couple of flaws

Clinnehan

I run Apple Watch only and have found this app to be the most consistent one. I was mainly using Strava, but found that it glitched from time to time. I have not had any glitches with this one yet. And then I can export my run to Strava, Runkeeper, etc. I wish Nike+ would open their API back up so I could export there. I am having a problem though trying to authenticate MapMyRun. When I try to login via Facebook, I get an error every time. The only other request for the watch app is a chance to put the watch in waterproof mode right from this app. You can do that in Strava.

Not Flawless, But Still the Greatest

Lost ability to upload to Nike+, but it seems to be because Nike wants to be exclusive, in the bad way. I love that I can leave my phone at home and just use my watch, that I can integrate a Wahoo Tickr Run with the iSmoothRun app on my watch, and that I can use my Bluetooth headphones all at the same time. I also love that I can create custom workouts to follow as I go. It may be my misuse, but sometimes the Tickr Run syncing to the watch makes the iSmoothRun app not show distance, which makes it basically useless until I sync with my phone again to see how far I ran. Sometimes it seems to work and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m still troubleshooting.

Works great on iPhone and Watch

jd2020

This is what the best running app on iPhone and Watch. Customizable display on both devices, no gimmicks, no stealing your data. I’ve had some hiccups tracking shoe mileage, but seems to be fixed.

Great

The more I use this, the more I like it. It took awhile to figure out a few of the quirks but everything seems to work well and be correct. Just having cadence alone is worth the 5 bucks. Very happy. I had some issues and customer service seemed to be right on it. Good job!

Love it!

Love it!

No support

XChris1000

Often crashes when exporting data. Data is not lost, so this is just an annoyance. Also treadmill function does not work - records 0 distance even when used per instructions. Dev does not respond to support requests. Too bad, otherwise it is an excellent app.

Best running app!

Awake!!!

Love this app. Lets me program in my paces for runs and coaches paces during runs, which is really helpful - I hate looking at a watch to make sure I'm on pace! I really wish there was an android version - we recently switched from apple to android, but there's no app like this one on the other side!

The Best

Muéro

I had been wondering the past few weeks when iPhone X support would be coming, and then BAM—a big update hit today. New Siri-based audio, support for additional sensors using just the Apple Watch, iPhone X support, and much, much more. The best iOS cardio workout tracking app just keeping getting better, year after year. And this is a one-time purchase! I kinda feel bad getting this much value out of such a low cost. But this app is outstanding, and anyone on the fence about buying should just read all the great reviews.

Why kill the force touch access?

Vickerrrs

Don’t get me wrong. I still think iSmoothRun is the best activity tracker for the Watch. I personally liked the force touch better because it avoids accidentally stopping a workout. I used to use the Nike+ Run Club app but seriously abhorred the slide-to-access-the-pause/stop buttons, especially when my sleeves or even the rain kept accidentally stopping the workout. Also, I was surprised to hear that it was the old Siri voice that replaced the more natural sounding in-app voice. Not sure if this was just a bug that accessed the old Siri voice instead of the new Siri voice. Other than these 2 feedback items, I like the addition of audio cues when using just the watch and the larger data font options on the watch display. Your work on the app is well worth the download and the price. Truly.

Go to App for Running

mathtris

I have tried several apps for running with my Apple Watch 3 stand alone. None are perfect by iSmoothRun is the best. Pros: + export to many online sites (Garmin, Nike, Strava, ...) + easy to use + developer listens to feedback from users
