New update is terrible

The newest update makes it very difficult to start a new job. In the new interface, there is no obvious place to select a room to clean it and I have to tap it twice after many seconds in order for it to select. It takes a LONG time just to select several zones for cleaning, making the app nearly useless. Second, a major problem that I experienced before the app update is a “smart mapping error” that cancels a linked clean mop job. Soooo frustrating. Almost every time, the mop won’t run after vacuum bc of this error

Gidget, as we call our robot, is a major help around the house. Excellent over hard wood or carpet. Some rugs can cause trouble, but your typical area rug should be just fine. Smaller bedroom or bathroom mats/rugs are almost always okay but has caught us up once or twice. Cleans excellently even after having it for 18 months. Easy maintenance, filter and bag changes are few and far between and the parts are cheap. Smart enough not to fall down stairs. Make sure you pick up all the little toys though or your kids will wonder where they’ve gone.
Bin gets full too quickly

Often dust, hair, and pet hair will get caught in shoot leading to the bin and the robot will assume it is a full bin and stop vacuuming. Bin is empty, but hair in shoot. Needs to more powerfully push hair and dirt into bin.

Anthropomorphic…yes. We believe Fred is a real boy. He’s good at it. He’s never high drama, doesn’t ask for much, eats very little, plays well by himself (though he did hilariously find toilet paper touching the floor and drug his toy down the hallway), he does what he’s told and cleans up after the two of us.

Missing dirt in areas it passes over. Does not recognize extra dirt and stay in area or repeat area
