Makes life easy

Loving how clean our place is without having to sweep.

Freaky difficult to connect to siri

Damjancd

They should know the precise statistics but it seems most people want it connected with Siri for voice commands. You had one job kinda failure

When it works, it works well….

But so often it barely connects and I can’t tell if I just got another bad roomba or not. The QC on these things doesn’t have a great track record and it’s too late to return my replacement

Update: poor app and poor roomba

Havin'Fun-in-Louisiana

My updated app review is here and My previous review is below that. Update. I would review the app as a zero star and the same goes for the roomba at least with the update or what ever change was made recently. Recently the roomba and maps stopped working. For example yesterday and today I have tried 5 times to use my roomba and because of the poor app it has cancelled my run. Why? It looks like the maps change and so the roomba will just go into a wall 20 times and miss the doorway and then quick. The roomba does not any longer recognize rooms and zones, so it is not able to vacuum where it is needed and because it forgot where walls and doors are it can’t get to wear you need it. Want to vacuum a bedroom, well ask it to vacuum the kitchen and maybe it will randomly find its way. Want it to vacuum the family room, ask it to run the hallway and hope it gets lost in the right room. Nothing works. This is the best advertisement for buying a Dyson. A Dyson always vacuums where you want it and actually cleans your house. I hope with time the app folks can stop messing with success and get the app and roomba to stop being an expensive paperweight. I guess for the 50th time it is time to do a mapping run and hope it actually works. The app is solid and is certainly a requirement for effective use of your roomba. It works and I use it all the time. For the most part it works very well. So I give it 5 stars for need and effective use of the roomba. My complaint or reasons I gave it 3 overall is as follows. Probably 80% of the time when you open the app it says not connected. I have to force quit and then reopen and it works fine. This is minor and doesn’t change my feelings for the overall effectiveness of the app. Next the roomba constant seems to change the floor plan and I had to delete my map and start over. This has happened more than once. By changing floor plans I mean it changes the shapes of rooms and eliminated door entances so you could not clean rooms. Again not horrible, as I just did a mapping run and started over. I guess there are just some glitches that do seem to affect the use of the roomba. Also the company can’t figure out if customers serve is important or not. I like my roomba and have 2, and would probably get another one if needed, but I can’t say I wouldn’t try another brand.

Fails to connect 99% of the time

Resign yourself to force quitting the app every other time you want to use it, and you’ll be fine.

10/10 never have to vacuum again

iPad app only

Enthous

It doesn’t matter how well this app works, any iPad app that only works in portrait mode gets no more than 3 ⭐️. If that seems harsh, I’d ask the developers to try using it while attached to a Smart Keyboard. That said, with regards To function, I’ve already wished I could tell it to cancel a session immediately. So far I can just pause and it tells me how long I have to wait before it’s cancelled. It also doesn’t seem to have the updated name for my device (just calls it Roomba, which is not its name). The name shows up in a lot of places, but not in the data for my registered devices. So my reaction so far to this app is meh, which is a solid 3 in my book.
