Two things wrong, everything else good.

Please get rid of the function that groups orders in to batches, it screws us shoppers over. Please also fix your support system, I’ve used it multiple times and it’s useless.

I don’t know what happened with the new update but now when I go to navigate to an address it only goes to the street. It won’t go to the actual street address. It won’t show the street numbers for whatever reason. I have to open my gps separately and input the address manually. The “navigate” button in the app is useless now.

I started Instacart when the pandemic started. I’ve experienced the ups and downs of the app. The one that bothers me the most are the constant updates that seem to be faulty and puts a halt on my day and income I usually make from Instacart. Can’t really take up the issue with an algorithm though, so I usually take the day off Instacart when that happens. I do believe InstaCare tries to be helpful, but are limited on information they can give out. So be kind and understanding to them. Although I am currently at a 5 star rating the updates stop sending notifications for certain stores despite being in the area or parking lot. The customers are great and I do enjoy the flexibility of work hours. I have become good friends with some of my customers and other shoppers on my day to day shops. I do believe some people have the wrong impression of Instacart. It isn’t setup to be a full time job, but extra income(second job). In todays economy though with the pandemic A LOT of people have solely depended on Instacart for income. I’ve seen growth in certain area of the app, but lacking in others. Hopefully one day they can be a great company for independent contractors. I’ll give it 5 stars for what it is. An extra source of income

It’s a good side job but I think they need to give people at least 30 seconds to accept the job before someone else like DoorDash do I been on the phone all day and can’t even get the job before someone else does I don’t think it’s far what happens if someone was doing chores or even driving they won’t have time to hit accept before someone else they should have it where they give the job to someone and give them 30 seconds like DoorDash to be fair about it

Anyone else go from tons of batches to none for a whole week? Since their last update I’ve gotten almost no batches unless I’m at the store the order is at.

Low pay and sucky app

I start scams, I watched a batch go from $11.63 to $22 because no one wanted to accept that batch because of no tip, that’s how you know IC can pay more for their batches but they choose not too until it sits there forever. And whoever changed the ‘Slide to accept’ button to pressing it should be fired. I have accepted some by accident while just looking at the batch. Update: they also removed the option to see how many items are on a batch if you want to add it on. This company is scummy

Good for extra money

It’s good for making extra money if you need it, but the only thing I wish they’d add is maybe an option to leave feedback on how the delivery went and if it went ok. Some customers won’t even look at the messages or approve replacements and then in return when they don’t like the item they get, they give a low rating which makes no sense. It’d be better if we could rate the customers as well.

While the app is a very easy way to make money, I don’t think you as a app, company, etc understands that there are people living off your app. At one point this way very easy to do. But now you all are giving us 0.58¢ peak boost!! What kind of peak boost is that. There are constantly app differences in the interface between shoppers. Some shoppers have a swipe to accept some JUST PRESS ACCEPT. Me and my counterpart have the exact same phone with the exact same updates and get low and behold our instacart apps are completely different. It’s ridiculous. No matter how many times we try to update they never look the same. These things need to be fixed. It’s making more and more people leave the app. Al thought there are a lot of youngsters jumping on at the same time because like I said before it’s easy money. And then the customers. Customer that don’t tip or tip too low should have no say so on our rating if it low. Because we will do the order perfect and the customer will still complain. Or I will go through the list WITH THE CUSTOMER and they will still say they were missing items or an item was damaged. HOW IS A BAG OF CHEESE DAMAGED. IT WASNT OPEN OR MELTED. AND IT STAYED IN THE INSTACART PROVIDED COOLER BAG THE ENTIRE TIME.

I do dash on my spare time and one thing I’ve notice is that they lowered the wages on us why? I can barley pay my bills

Easy to use app & good pay

I love the freedom of shopping when and where I choose. This app is easy to use and understand. I definitely recommend it to most. You do need to be somewhat physically fit because it dose involve fast walking in store, to customers door, and lots of lifting of several grocery bags at once. Or you can always load grocery on a wagon or cart if you can’t lift a bunch at once.
