Crashes too much.

When I first got the game it crashed a lot!!!! But when I reinstalled the app it has not crashed! So try and see if that helps!

Maybe it's me but with out directions for how to play the game on the iPad all this game offers me is a quick flash back to when I played the game on my Mac desktop (much earlier OS) for a few minutes until the pirates take over my colonies. Write some directions, show how to initiate combat on the iPad, high-light each item that can be built in the order the game allows technology to be built, and if this is done then maybe this will be a good game again. Do not buy this game until you read from reviewers that most of the above issue have been corrected.

No screen rotation!?! This is a dealbreaker for the millions of us portfolio case users who don't enjoy watching our iPads slowly slide out of them.

This game suffers from some UI problems, the biggest of which is the lack of a single consolidated production screen. Ground combat is also kind of lame since the only units are "tanks" and the strategy of placing fixed fortifications doesn't really make sense. There's no power distribution or weak points in the infrastructure to protect—capturing a colony basically requires destroying everything on the ground that can shoot no matter where or how it's positioned. Basically this game is like someone tried to take Master of Orion and make it into an RTS, but it doesn't completely work out that well. Though it's turn-based and not RTS, I'd rather spend my time playing Starbase Orion (an improved Master of Orion clone for the iPad). I don't feel like I'm really losing anything with the lack of the RTS element.

It's a shame. This could be outstanding, but the convoluted UI is so bad that it just isn't fun. It needs a major overhaul to streamline things. As is, it's just a P.I.A.

This is by far THE BEST 4X GAME on the app store with engaging and tactical real-time combat/gameplay elements as well as a more streamlined and easier resource management than other 4X games. However, they need to add a screen orientation option, a better tutorial and multi-tasking with ability to listen to iTunes/Pandora and still hear sound effects while playing. Definitely one of the better strategy games overall with fantastic combat and deep, complex gameplay along with challenging AI and many, many hours of value in skirmish or scenario mode ... Highly recommend!
