Great game but...

This is by far the best 4x space strategy game on the App Store. I played this on the PC and it's an excellent port to iOS. However, as others mentioned the crashing is a major problem. I've had it occur with both humans and Shinari. It seems to be related to the size or year of empire. It also either is a result of or cause of corrupted save files. I turned auto save and cutscenes off but it didn't make much difference. It's a terrible shame because it's such a rich and engaging game. A fix would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.

Seriously one of the best 4X Space games ever!!! I was so excited to find this port, since I've been longing after this game to be updated for years! Like everyone else, I've had crash problems, but even with that, one of the best things I've ever put on my iPad. Please come out with an update soon! And maybe a desktop port, too!

The screens look great, and it seems like it is a game that I would love to play, but I can't figure out how to do even the most basic things. The tutorial is a joke, the 2 finger scrolling is extremely touchy and frustrating, the zooming barely does anything and the all of a sudden zooms in to 19 times closer than you want to be! I never played the PC version, so I am lost as to how to start building ships. And there are no guides online either. Unless you have played this game before on the PC, you will you will be forever lost.
Totally deserves 5 stars for this classic...

However I am experiencing a game breaking crash in Campaign. The first mission where you have located a pirate base has crashed my iPad Air 2 both times I have tried it. Please fix and I will change my rating of IG2 to the 5 stars it deserves.

This game is now unplayable with iOS 8.1. It crashes within the first 5 minutes on the cut scene/message "pirate stronghold detected" in the solarian campaign. Disappointed as this was a great game, however now is unplayable. Developer please release an update to fix this issue! Until then I do not recommend anyone downloading as it will be a waste of your money.

This is my favorite game. I had it in Hungary on pc in 2000. It is a miracle that I now have it on my iPad in 2015. I hva just completed the ENTIRE Shinari campaign. Excellent! It is a really enjoyable game. The only issue is this crash in the Solarian campaign. If I disable every cinematics etc then I can get pretty far into the game. But there is a point in the game when the Krahen gets big, here the crash is inevitable. Can't even save or reload the save. If I go another route and weaken the Krahen, I do manage to avoid the crash. So it seems that the bug is with that. Anybody has any idea if a fix is coming on this? Other than that it is best ever and is fully playable with the Shinari race. Would be good to have multiplayer, like it was on pc. I got worried with digitalreality.hu going offline... I hope this game will keep going for another 15 years!

Used on an iPad Air 2 I'm very happy with everything I've seen with the interface and gameplay so far. The original game was one of my absolute favorites, so this is a shoe-in for a 5 star review. However, for some reason it consistently crashes every time I try to view a message. As it's critical to receive these to trigger and understand sub-missions within the game, this is a game-breaking glitch for now. If I attempt to play on without checking messages, all is well. Just won't be able to progress the story well and will miss opportunities if I do so. So I'm very sad to have to dock 2 stars for this until fixed.

Very unstable save your money, after 10 minutes of play when checking the in game messages it crashes. This has potential to be fantastic but apparently the developer has just stopped fixing bugs. Game is great fix the crashing bug and I will raise the rating to 5 stars.
