Crashes

Save A LOT! The game crashes very often. Still a very fun game though!

Golden Classic but crashes consistently.

I am a huge fan of IG2 and find myself trying to play the game but unfortunately it crashes every 3 minutes and it is just not playable in its current form. It really needs an update, as the last update was on 2013. It is truly a shame because it could easily be a great 4x/e for the ipad, all other minor things aside. I will change my rating if an updating addressing the consistent crashing is published.

Buy only if you want it to crash

I loved this game on PC and was very excited to see this version for the iPad. However, to my dismay, it is unplayable. It randomly crashes despite turning off videos and cutscenes. Not sure if this can/will be fixed. Very disappointing when I was expecting one of my favorite games of all time to be accessible from my tablet! If it weren't for the crashes, it would get a much higher rating. However, since it is unplayable, I can only give it one star.

Very good

The game all in all is well built with very many features that you can dive into. The game is the type that hooks you in, but the issues that are very few but major. 1st issue and the only I've ever had a issue with is how after a select few of messages you game will crash if you skip or if you don't. An example of why it's bad is after and before each cut I have to save m,y game for the fear of losing my progress is a pain, especially when each event is random and will change if the saves aren't placed right, like the Gordon's declaring war or asking for a favor. 2nd issue is how the events work, mainly because of the save issue and how the game can be taken advantage of because of it. Other than that the ga,me is fun if you play right and smart then you will have a great time.

Needs instructions

Yet another developer who puts a great deal of effort into creating an app and then fails to put together a 2 or 3 screen outline of how to play. The tutorial and ? key are hardly helpful.

Too Buggy

TyB

App is basically unplayable. It crashes all the time which can kind of bee mitigated by frequent saving but as the campaign progresses and the videos pop up more often and without warning there comes a time where it will crash no matter when you saved and you are just done.

Poor!!!

aint2sure

I Wish I Could Play This

IG2 was one of my favorite games on the computer when it came out. It was one of the few RTS style games that featured more than just a rush with base expansion. It featured Diplomacy, Politics, Economic Balance, Peace and War, Customizable Units, and much more. When I found out that this game was available on the iPad I was overly excited. The game was ported really well and has good controls. The reason I rated this 3 stars though is because there has been a bug that crashes your game and every time they try to fix it then it jumps to something else. Currently the game crashes on me everytime I open a message (which by the way is crucial to gameplay) and it happens with every race in both the campaign and in the scenarios. This bug is extremely aggravating because it crashes the game then you have to open it back up, skip the intro cutscene, select the single player option, select campaign or scenario, pick the race, skip the cutscene for that specific race, then have it crash again right after all of that just to make you repeat that process. The team working on this port needs to kick it into gear or they're going to lose a lot of people on this.

Good to have it back...

I gave the game 4 stars. I play on an iPad Pro. I know some have issues with the game crashing. It is yet to crash on me. I has not crashed a single time. I did one comment seriously. I make sure I save the game each time I quit. Then I quit the game and exit. Only then do I swipe the game off the iPad. I would like to be able to delete finished games off the load list, and I would like to know how to rename the planets like we could in the original twenty years ago.

Please make 64-bit compatible❣️

Update: well, sadly, I have to give up the ghost as THQNordic has not just abandoned IG2 but apparently iOS in general. IG2 has been removed from their web site. That's a shame that they abandoned their iOS customers. Since I no longer use PCs, they no longer will get my business. ----- I am holding off upgrading my iPad Pro to iOS 11 because IG is one of my very most favorite strategy games to play❣️??
