Good graphics, doesn't show battle scenes

I bought this game because panzer tactics on the ds always looked great. One of the best features were the real time battles. If you had a strength 10 tank fight against a strength 7 anti-tank unit when you attacked them you would see your 10 tanks square off against the 7 AT guns in a 3D battle scene. If 4 tanks blew up in the battle and 3 AT guns blew up ( which was fun to watch). When you returned back to the hexes you would have a strength 6 tank unit and a strength 4 AT unit. That's what I was looking forward to the most. Other than that the rest of the graphic quality is good and the maps so far are beautiful. So far the XP system looks ok. If you are a panzer general fan I recommend it.

I'm not sure how much I was expecting from this DS port, but I was pleasantly surprised. The mechanics work well and it has quite a bit of depth. You only get the German campaign for your five bucks. The American and Russian will cost a bit more. My only complaint is that the controls feel a little clunky at times. I had a hard time selecting air units and then giving them move orders once they were over their targets. All in all however, a fun little war game.

Awesome game! Has the classic play of Panzer General. Unfortunately, the game constantly crashes when loading my next mission and am unable to play the Crete invasion.

Well done app. Nice graphics, good game play, some decent tutorials. Right up my alley. Some minor nit picks- it did hang on me once most of the way into a long scenario. Kind of sucked, but only happened once. Also, when scrolling around I tend to select units by accident a lot. I deduct a half star for these issues, but seriously over all they did a great job.

Good game. Similar to old Panzer General. AI is relatively easy however it can snakebite if you are too aggressive. Worth the money if you are an old board gamer.

Absolutely terrific game! I am very impressed with its implementation onto iOS, and I am more than satisfied with the quality of the game coming from the nostalgic moments of the DSL version. I would recommend to any strategies or WWII fanatics, like myself. 10/10!

Having serious issues with tutorials and UI Enough that i will only award four stars, versus my original one star review. But this will not be a game i will grab and play very often.

Update: Still no update from the developer. Finally the first tutorial did work as it should. The second tutorial is just as bad as the paratroopers jump into an ambush, are destroyed and now the tutorial is stuck. The tutorial doesn't have a back button so you cannot reread anything without starting it over. I did find a 40+ minute YouTube video described as being a tutorial but there isn't any dialog, just watching someone play it. About like watching grass grow. It's about time to go back to 'Panzer Corp', which Panzer Tactics is just a knockoff of anyway. Surprisingly I am finding I am enjoying the game play and strategy of 'Planar Conquest' better than both. ----- I am excited about the potential of Panzer Tactics but I'm sorry, it's inexcusable to release a game that the tutorial doesn't work! One star for that. Their web site doesn't even show any iPad apps. Will watch for an update but I'm shelving Panzer Tactics for now.

Worth the price! Very enjoyable, hoping for sequels to come! Easy to see maps (for us older gamers), interesting scenarios. Love it!
