I’m an avid fan of Ikea, and many times I just want nip into the warehouse and out again. This app has in the past helped a lot. As of May 2019, I’m not so sure. Categories that previously existed are now completely gone and if I would like to find it, I will need to search for it. So the item is still there, but you cannot find it unless you know Ikea has it in its catalog. Not functional nor helpful.

An app you can’t use for online shopping, then why having one?

A lot of te reviews I’ve read are just from people who don’t understand how apps and IKEA is. One review said it was bad because items had “random names”. Yea it’s a Swedish company they aren’t going to change everything for English speakers and the app is catered to whatever store is closest to you so that stuff ships quickly. Another person said that the things in their cart would disappear after a day like what do you expect? The store isn’t going to hold an item for you for more than a day because they have limited stock like just buy it if you need it then. A lot of these reviews are from lazy people. This app is great for me so I don’t understand why everyone else is upset over little stuff.

I tried multiple times to create an account & add a password & I was subsequently locked out. I then decided to shop elsewhere.

When I try to search I only get a message saying “Server not responding. Please try again later.” Tried using cellular data as well as WiFi at home and WiFi at my local IKEA!

This is one of the most unusual mobile games I’ve ever played. First, it offers you delightful rooms and healthy meals. If you try to find the nearest source of these rooms and food, it suggests a place you wouldn’t want to go, based on the location of cell phone towers. When you do find the location and try to buy into comfort and sustenance, it rejects your login information. If you try to get information about the furnishings and products, it crashes! What an interesting artistic statement about capitalism and human frailty! Call the Guggenheim!

The app is nice but you can’t shop on it. If I like something & want to add to cart it redirects me to their website online. Separate from app. I can’t add to cart on app. You can only add stuff u like to list (and even those are limited). It’s a shame IKEA is a great store with great products but their online business is very poor. They could grow big. If they get real online shopping.
