I add an item to my list in the app. My wife and I both have the same “ikea family” member number in our apps. My items don’t sync to her phone or the website, and neither do hers to mine. Pretty worthless if nothing syncs. You can’t place an order through this app, you have to use the website, which this app doesn’t sync with, so you end up entering everything all over again. Store map missing, for a store that’s been open for at least 5 years. Search feature is really limited, if you don’t know their name for the item you’re pretty much out of luck finding it. Ikea should have someone with fluent knowledge of American English index the items for an app used by people who speak American English, because the editor doesn’t include common American English names of items. Overall, nobody gave any thought to developing this app from the user standpoint. Abysmal.
Terrible and time waster

App and website are not communicating. Changed password three times, works on the website on my phone, but not on the app. Received an email that now my account is locked. But there are no instructions how to unlock my account, which ISN'T locked on the mobile website. I wish I could comment on the usability of the app, but I couldn’t even get that far.

Have the app developers actually used this app? Am I getting the whole concept wrong or is this app supposed to have an online shopping option? Where’s the checkout option? What are the options for delivery? How do I pay? Or is this just a list I populate then go to a brick and mortar store to pick up the items myself?

This app is very convenient for keeping a shopping list. Nevertheless, it is not very reliable when it comes to indicating the availability of a product or it’s location. This is a huge drawback that needs a fix.

I literally added everything I planned to buy to my list. Woke up the next morning ready to go shop. My list was empty! It keeps saying server error. (deletes app)
